Thank you! I’m gonna do both, because I’m greedy and I fancy some Thomas Barrow shaped nostalgia with my ever-present John Silver hell. <3

Silver

1: sexuality headcanon: My boy’s as bi as I am.2: otp: Silverflint. Always.3: brotp: I love a modern AU Max & Silver brotp. I really want to read more Silver & Miranda too. She’d love him.4: notp: I’m not even sure I have one. Silver/Billy? Mostly because Billy’s ace as hell in my mind.5: first headcanon that pops into my head: It’s kinda sad. I have this headcanon that after everything at the end, Silver would shave and cut his hair in an attempt to turn himself back into who he was before he met Flint/lost his leg/got embroiled in all of that shit. And Madi would look at him like the outside finally reflected the inside - that he was a stranger - and it just wouldn’t be a good time at all. So he wouldn’t shave the beard again. At some point I’m gonna write it and people will hate it.6: favorite line from this character: Oh man. That’s so hard. Let’s go with, “I perceived its effects on you. What I assumed was sorrow, loneliness, and worst of all terror at the thing you were becoming. There is an element of this journey into the dark that I’m only now beginning to appreciate...How good it feels.”7: one way in which I relate to this character: I’m also a fucked up, emotionally closed off weirdo who’s both selfish and also really wants to be kind and good at the same time.8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: Like, most of the stuff he did in S1. Maybe know some shame, dude.9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? The most problematic of ultimate faves. <3

Thomas Barrow!

1: sexuality headcanon: 100% gay.2: otp: Thomas/happiness? I mostly read Thomas/Jimmy, but I never felt that otp about them. Thomas/that cute blind soldier was a good pairing too.3: brotp: Thomas & Sybil.4: notp: Thomas/Daisy...ffs.5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Thomas knew aaaall of the right clubs to go to whenever he travelled to London with the Crawleys. 6: favorite line from this character: It’s so long since I watched the actual show. The final season really upset me. How about everything he said to Carson in that one scene in S3, and particularly, “I am not foul, Mr. Carson. I am not the same as you, but I am not foul.”7: one way in which I relate to this character: He’s kind of a massive bellend, but I guess the soft squishy sad interior is one way.8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: His stupid, ill thought out schemes early on. Oh my god, dude, stop.9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Problematic fave.

I KNOW. when i first saw the ep i was like “okaaay… but maybe this is not their last scene” oh, naive me 😢 so rewatches are even more devastating (i’ve rewatched it so many times, help)

The whole rest of the episode almost felt like a blur. It kind of blew my mind that there was so much time left without Silver and Flint being together. Like, how can that be? They are this story. To me, anyway.

I KNOW. Like, people pointing out Silver was on the cart behind Flint when he was taken through the gates, but he isn’t even in focus. I don’t know why they wouldn’t give us a final look between them if he was there. This is all the shit that made me terrified when I first watched that Silver was just telling a story, because everything we saw was conveniently lacking shots of him. BUT that’s a slippery slope towards the devil’s theory and I’m not going there.

oh man this is tough. hmm I’d go with Flint saying “you made my life an adventure” - remember how perversely entertained he was when Silver suggested they might be friends? and when Silver’s strategy of finding his way back onto the crew started to work? and after they killed the shark and Flint “again?” :D I mean, you could have it both ways (BOTH IS GOOD ASDLFKJKL), the MOST EPIC OF ADVENTURES - stealing THE FUCKING WARSHIP was initiated by Flint after all :D HOWEVER, Flint wouldn’t even be fucking alive at that point if it wasn’t for Silver. Silver not only saved his life, he reminded him that there was still something worth living for. He reminded him of Thomas - this pure, idealistic soul who saw good in everyone - whom James loved so deeply and with whom he became himself. I think this fact speaks volumes - Flint found himself unexpectedly not dead and remembering the love of his life, whom he swore to avenge. Silver’s initially unwanted presence helped Flint refind his life’s meaning. yes, that meaning being the destruction of civilisation, but even as James McGraw this man was a destructive force. life is an adventure, and some even say that love is the only true adventure, and I think Flint has found both of these things in Silver, no matter however the fuck this whole thing ends. so yeah, I think this line would go to Flint.

and Silver broke up with the Gold™ for his captain’s most bountiful booty, so Flint definitely made his life rich ;)

i feel all of these answers <3 and ouch, that silver headcanon, you can be sure i'll be reading it </3

<3 Hopefully I’ll be able to work it into something that doesn’t end on an awful, hopeless note. I really need to make the effort to soften some of these angsty headcanons to make them fit for public consumption.
