In your post you talk about how translators clearly didn't communicate with each other and use an example with Kokichi and Maki but funnily enough Maki and Kokichi share a translator, still love your post just thought it was funny
Oof, if Maki and Ouma shared the same translator that makes the whole “translating the same word two different ways back to back” even worse... Moreso when it’s really clear from that scene that Maki is supposed to be repeating Ouma word-for-word.
If you have access to what both characters are saying in the same scene, then you can’t even say that you didn’t have all the context. Making a mistake on that level where it’s hard to even follow the flow of conversation despite translating both characters is... not great. That’s not to say that translators don’t ever make mistakes; we all do! But it really feels like no one bothered double-checking or proofreading their work, or at the very least that they lacked an editor to do so for them.
