Look! I’ve found the woman that must have inspired the character of Fran Baxter in Russell T Davies’ new drama Years and Years. Her name is Jan Blake, she is a storyteller, and yes, she’s given a TEDx talk. In the first episode Fran tells the story of the old woman and the pumpkin. In this video Jan tells a very different story with the same title, but the at the beginning she goes through the ‘crick-crack’ refrain you see in the episode.

"Body of words" 13 years later.

New year is the time for clearing, including the hard disk. My computer is from 2009 and is getting old and heavy to run. But mac produce no longer 17 inches and I am reluctant to replace it with a new one. So in this cleaningup old memories are popping up slike these images from a course 13 years ago. Internasjonale fortellere

De kommende dagene blir det besøk fra to britiske fortellere. I morgen kan du dra til Rikscenen i Oslo og høre Jan Blake, som er en av Europas sterkeste fortellerstemmer, gjennom over 20 år. Onsdag 8. Oktober kan du høre Michael Harvey fra Wales fortelle på høgskolen i Oslo.

Dette fortsetter til våren da både Nick Hennessey og Ben Haggarty kommer til Oslo.
