I'm a bit late to this, I know, but this has got to come of my chest.

Eleven didn't deserve to die. She could have had a normal life, preferably with Mike (platonically) and Max and Will and Hopper and the rest of the party by her side, supporting her through every milestone she achieved. She could have even lost her powers, and maybe I would've made my peace with that. But they killed her. They gave her arc to Nancy, who was like, more than 75% down the road of realization that she could be independent alone. They could have given her a full life, a rich life, that she deserved, away from the lab, from the government that had made her life hell from the day she was born.

Not the shitty ending she got.

Which is why, even though I know that it's basically repressed!Mike's fever dream, I'm going to go ahead and believe anyway. Because I'm the queen of grasping at straws. And I'm going to grasp like hell. For my girl Jane.
