‪Just taking one of these “writers”, Meghan F was assistant to Dabb who went in there with a specific heller agenda that was shot down by the showrunners. They wrote 13 episodes of ANY show since 2011 to date. They were so bad, they were only given 2 scripts to write, and had to be assigned another writer to be heavily handheld and they still turned out ooc and terrible. The one with Sam and Cass was rumoured to originally have been written Destiel, but was told to change it to Sastiel. The other one was the boys as kids and it’s very clear this “writer” lived their twitter post “watch the first three seasons as background” as those kids were neither Sam nor Dean. Taking just one of the others, they were insanely proud of not having watched a single episode before they started writing - which was absolutely fucking clear in the dross they churned out, These… these disrespectful fucks are who I should be listening to over Kripke, Gamble, Carver, Dabb and the only one that was there all the way through, Singer? Bffr. Get fucked.

Look, no one is denying there was serious unprofessionalism from extreme Hellers which included some of the late season writers. It was a combination of hellers deliberately trying to get into positions where they tried (and failed) to “exert influence” over the show (Meghan) but also that the others thought they were genuinely just interacting with people that knew it was fanon.

And let’s be completely honest, the show turned unrecognisable in these late seasons compared to Kripke’s vision and that was 100% down to the poor quality of writers, which I’m guessing was a budgeting issue as it ran across the entire CW shows that used to be good. Like these bad writers weren’t just on SPN. The author of the book Ship It was another “writer” (then showrunner I believe) on Riverdale, which also turned to complete shit. The book is a revenge fantasy against Jensen. Like… unprofessional af.

One of the (many) reasons I call Dabb a weak showrunner is that he wasn’t reining them in online - that problem of writers being unprofessional and interacting with fans outside the official studio stance btw has now been mostly resolved.

So no, sorry, not listening to what a single one of those hacks said or did outside the control of the writing room. Where are most of these “great writers” now? Kripke and Gamble who I would argue are the best showrunners have had significant post show success. The others… not so much. And the funniest thing in all of this for me is you all know to call out JKR for saying characters were lgbtq+ after the fact, but you love these writers that… did exactly the same thing. They gave you nothing inside the canon of the show but indulged your fetish freely outside. Yeah, you’re really here for the lgbtq+ community, no other agenda at all.
