james is far away from home sweet home and this weird kid's obsessed with him - violent and freaky and sensitive, but james likes being worshipped barty does anything he says. he starts meeting up and, quickly, hooking up with barty in a very repressed kind of way (he's still in love with his best friend back home). once they've hooked up barty's addicted to him, he'll isolate james, drug him, manipulate him - anything to keep him in his bed. james makes friends and barty attacks them, james bullies someone and barty gets jealous.
and thennn sirius visits. and james is to sirius what barty is to james - a dog. barty is going mad, about james not giving him attention and also because sirius... exists and um. is perfect.
sirius finds barty weird but tolerates him because he's james' boyfriend, and then he starts competing with james for sirius' attention - that's amusing, so he smiles and laughs because james knows what he's doing (jealous=angry->sex) and barty tries harder (makes james more jealous->angry).
they fuck when sirius walks into jarty fucking and they both beg him to stay (he was going to anyway)
