@jaskiier continued from here
Good, good, continued the disembodied voice, ringing loud and clear inside Jaskier’s mind.
Now, listen to me very carefully. I do not understand why on earth Dijkstra chose to hire you, and I doubt I ever will, but fact is that he did so it appears that for the time being I am stuck with you. You didn’t seriously think that he would just send you into the fray without at least one pair of watchful eyes on you, did you now?
The voice was pure condescendence, its tone conjuring images of a frustrated adult admonishing an idiot child.
I am going to get you out of there in due time, so do not worry. Or maybe, d o worry, because I shall have a few choice words for you when all this is over. I myself can think of a thousand ways of doing this that do n o t involve getting yourself captured. But you did, so all that’s left is to make the most of it. Once they’ve taken you back to their base of operations, I need you to keep your eyes and ears open for any clue that may indicate where the documents that we require are being kept. From there, I should be able to retrieve them myself. Let’s just say I have my w a y s. Whatever happens until then, do me a favour and don’t do anything too stupid, will you?
