Summary: what the title says. Oh also reader is vigilante
Warnings: none tbh sfw, body swapping?, established relationship, swearing…
Ok so like… this is my first fic EVER… 😭 be nice or just ignore it. I don’t even know how to format it. I’m a noooobbb
I’ve been crushing over this man HARDDD and coincidentally I was watching an edit of Chad Michael Murray the other day that made me want to watch freaky Friday. And after that it gave me an idea and I was like why tf NOT. So even if this is a flop idc. Don’t interact of you got nothing nice to say…
You woke up groggy, disoriented, and immediately unsettled by the smell of gunpowder and leather. That wasn’t your lavender shampoo. And your arms too heavy, too long, too scarred.
You sat up fast, heart pounding.
Across the room, your body stumbled out of bed with a groan. “Ugh, why do my legs feel short? Wait—”
The two of you locked eyes.
“WHAT THE HELL—” you both screamed in perfect unison, your voice echoing out of Jason’s throat, his voice tearing out of yours.
Jason (wearing your body) threw his hands up. “Okay, this is not funny. What the fuck is happening? Why am I you?!”
You slapped a hand over your? No Jason’s—face, groaning. “Oh my god, no no no. This is so wrong. Switch back. SWITCH BACK!”
Jason jabbed a finger at you. “Don’t yell at me with my voice. It’s creepy.”
You glared. “Don’t make fun of my voice when you sound like me! I don’t sound like that, do I?”
Jason smirked wearing your face. “Nah, babe. You’re cuter. But I’m still keeping this body. Look at these lashes! They’re wasted on you.”
You launched yourself at him with a pillow. Unfortunately, with Jason’s superhuman strength, the pillow smacked way harder than you intended. He stumbled, tripped over your blanket, and yelped, “HEY—these legs aren’t built for combat!”
Breakfast was hell.
Jason (in your body) sat at the table dramatically holding a mug of coffee. “Why does this taste stronger? Do you drink battery acid?”
(I’m sorry I hate coffee😭 so a lil self indulgent)
You (in Jason’s body) crushed a spoon in your cereal bowl without realizing. “OH COME ON. That was my favorite spoon.”
Jason grinned smugly, waving dainty fingers. “Takes skill to use these delicate hands. You wouldn’t understand.”
By noon, the batfam had noticed.
Dick squinted at you. “Okay, why is Jason… smiling like that? And why are you scowling like him?”
Tim blinked between the two of you. “…did you guys swap bodies or something?”
You and Jason froze.
“NO.” you both said way too quickly.
Damian raised an eyebrow. “Pathetic. Even in different bodies, you’re both equally insufferable.”
Jason (still in your body) gasped in mock offense. “Don’t talk to your sister in-law like that.”
“I AM NOT—” you started, then stopped when you realized he was grinning just to get a rise out of you.
You wanted to throttle him. But throttling him meant throttling your own body.
Patrol Disaster
You tried to push through the night like normal, but it was… chaotic.
Jason (in your body) tried to grapple-swing but kept slamming too low into fire escapes. “These arms weren’t BUILT for this. Why are you so clumsy?!”
You (in his body) sneezed just sneezed and nearly blew the roof tile off a building. “This body is a walking weapon! How do you function without breaking EVERYTHING?!”
Back at home, the two of you collapsed on the couch, exhausted.
Jason rubbed your temples (with your own hands, which was weird). “Okay. I’ll admit it. You make this look easier than it is.”
You groaned. “And you’re not allowed to ever call me overdramatic again. Your body feels like a tank. My neck hurts just EXISTING in it.”
Silence.
Then Jason smirked. “…soooo… wanna make out? Just to see what it’s like?”
You threw a cushion at him. “THAT’S MY BODY, TODD.”
The Switch Back
By midnight, you both slumped on the bed, annoyed, bruised, and whiny.
Jason (in your body) sighed, fiddling with your hair. “You know… I didn’t hate it. Got to see how hard you work. How much shit you push through with a smile. I don’t give you enough credit.”
You blinked, heat rising in your chest. “…thanks. You’re still a pain in the ass, though.” He chuckled.
Right then, a jolt ran through you bright, dizzying. You blinked and—just like that—you were back in your own skin. Your hands, your hair, your voice.
You stared down at yourself in relief. “Oh thank god—”
Jason immediately grabbed you and pulled you close. “Never again. I like you in your body, and me in mine.”
You smirked, teasing, “So you do like me for more than my lashes?”
He kissed your forehead. “Yeah. I like you for all of it.”
You grinned,“Even if I sneeze loud enough to break a building?”
He laughed into your hair. “Especially then.”
——————-
Ooook so that was that… yeah if it’s a flop. Idc it’s my first fic whatever.
for TTT: gentle giant!verse reader surprising jay by waiting for him in his apartment in lingerie/naked (I would like to precise he consented to her being at his place and probably gave her the key 😭)
When Jason opened the door to his apartment, he paused for just a second. He could hear someone rattling around in his living room. Quiet steps. A familiar pattern. And when he realized who it was he relaxed considerably.
You had keys to each other's apartments for convenience's sake. And sometimes, he found you in his apartment when he didn't expect to, like tonight. But- it was always nice. You made sure there was a hot meal waiting for him, busily fussed at him, and then helped him to bed.
Tonight though, when he stepped into the living room, he found lit candles and a half naked woman lounging on his sofa.
"Well hey, cutie," he rumbled, bending to kiss you hello.
"I couldn't sleep-"
"Aww," he crooned, "Need me to put you to sleep, baby?"
"Jay-"
"Don't be shy, kitten," he said, pulling you into his lap, "Tell me you want me, huh? Let me take care of my girl."
"Why'd I tell you I like dirty talk?" you murmur, face heating.
"Because," he said grinning, "You like hearing me tell you how pretty you are taking my cock. It makes you wet- doesn't it cutie?"
"I wish you'd fight fair," you pout.
"You're on my couch half naked," he chuckled, "You were wet before I got home. That's why you can't sleep, isn't it cutie? You were thinking about me."
And when you whimper, already starting to squirm for him, he grins. You were gonna be worn out when he was done with you. And he hoped you didn't have an early class.
The past few years flew by faster than a cheetah chasing its prey. I know, a weird simile. But honestly, I don’t know how else to describe it. The other day, I was at the manor, secretly helping Tim with a missing persons case, and now I’m at my apartment figuring out how derivatives work. Being 18 is definitely weird, especially with patrol every night, and not speaking with Bruce or Dick… for five months… oops.
Now you may be wondering why I’m not speaking to Bruce and Dick. But here's the Sparknotes version- they pissed me off. I know Bruce has been stalking the hell out of me, and it does bother me. I asked Tim to hack into Bruce’s stalking mumbo jumbo, but Bruce caught him, so there goes that. I understand it’s for safety, and that the old man is worried. What pisses me off even further, though, is that Bruce still tries to get Dick to come speak to me- as if nothing happened. Sure he talks, but that doesn’t mean I'm obliged to respond.
The sound of raindrops is soothing. I left the window slightly ajar, to let the noise seep through my apartment as I did my homework. The scent of vanilla, thanks to the candle Alfred gifted me for my birthday last year, sparks, adding onto the white noise. I look outside my window, wondering how I even ended up in this position- in Gotham. That’s something I’ll never understand, but knowing that I help those in need, it comforts me. A couple weeks ago, five drunk guys were cornering an innocent woman into a dark alleyway. I’m glad I was able to save her, but how many people does this happen to? How many of these situations go unheard of? That’s why I’m here. I want to help those that can’t help themselves.
My phone pulled me out of my thoughts, as a notification turned on the black screen. I clicked on it to see what was happening. *THE RED HOOD BUSTS ANOTHER DRUG TRADE. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED SOON.* I turned my phone back off and stared outside once more. Who was this Red Hood? Why do I feel like I know him? I went back to my homework to finish up the rest of my Calculus worksheet.
Yet again, I was pulled out of my focused trance 15 minutes later, only to see a drenched, six foot giant standing next to my window. Hood. “What the hell,” I muttered under my breath. Why is he in my apartment? I chucked the burning candle at the vigilante as a distraction and made a run for it. I may have learned how to fight, but I need to figure out who this guy is first. Plus, I wasn’t in my uniform yet. I used the fire escape to get away from him. Fuck. The stairs are slippery.
I looked behind me to find out that the Red Hood was catching up to me. My adrenaline spiked once more, and I jumped off the fire escape, hoping to land on something soft or to find someone to latch onto before hitting the group. Thank god, it was the latter. He was still running though. God damn it. Does this guy not get tired? I spotted a metal ground laying in a puddle and grabbed it. “Where are you?!” The Red Hood yelled, searching for me, as I hid behind a pile of trash. Once he turned the opposite way I shouted at him, “Can’t catch me, fucker!”

Jason walked behind you grumbling about work, and needing to get back. You tugged on his arm anyway, “No Jay, you promised!” Jason sighed and followed you into the little coffee shop, it was pretty quiet, except for one corner that held all of your friends.
“Y/N,” one of your friends nearly screamed and rushed over, pulling you into the fray of Doctor Who bow ties, Hogwarts scarves, and superhero T-shirts (real and fictional). He paled considerably, he knew you were passionate about your favorite TV shows, like that one Game of.. Chairs?… and your walls were lined with books that you had devoured in a matter of hours (though he only read your classical ones, what was one that you had ranted to him for a solid minute about… Empire of Storms?)
He moved over to the counter and ordered some coffee, he kept glancing over at you as you chatted with your friends, something about a TV show that had been on last night. Shit, what have I gotten myself into… he groaned internally, running a hand down his face.
“So, Y/N,” your friend smirked, “What did you think about Elliot’s little attempt at memory lane?”
You squealed, “Don’t even mention that to me, I was so emotionally unprepared!”
“Yeah but he’s an Okie, you were right!” Another friend claimed, “You have to be happy, you were right.”
“It wasn't that hard,” You said, throwing your hair over your shoulder as Jason walked back over with his coffee, “He bet on Oklahoma for the Bedlam Game, I had a feeling that he did it for a reason.” You looped your arm through Jason’s as he stopped next to you, “Guy’s this is Jason.”
Jason stood there as your friends inspected him with critical eyes. Your best firend, who had greeted you when the two of you had walked in, smiled, “So? Gotten him hooked on anything yet.”
“No,” you smiled, looking up at him happily, “ But I’m working on it.”
Jason nodded, “It’s nice to meet you all.”
The last friend who had yet to speak giggled, “Well ,this is your unofficial welcome to the Nerd Herd. You’re gonna love it. Eventually.” Jason looked over to this friend as another conversation started. He noticed that they were wearing a T-shirt that has a similar design of his costume and smiled, Okay, maybe this wouldn't be so bad…
Jason x Apprentice!reader and Jason rubbing her belly for good luck
Jason rounded the corner with his gear on and gently but firmly put an arm around your waist, steering you towards a chair and settling you into it.
"Jay-"
He cut you off, kissing you tenderly, "If you faint sitting down you don't fall as far," he said practically. You were doing better, starting to get healthy again. Starting to look pregnant instead of just sick. But he still worried. Especially when he had to be away from you where he wouldn't be able to help you.
"I feel better," you protest.
"I know," he said, kneeling in front of you and tucking hair behind your ear. "But I feel better when I know I'm not going to find you unconscious on the floor." He kissed you again and smiled a little "I gotta make sure my girls are taken care of." He rests a hand on your stomach, it was reassuring. Feeling the swell of your stomach under his fingers. Knowing you were getting healthy again and the baby he was already in love with was growing.
When he rubs your belly, smiling to himself you look at him questioningly, "What-"
"For good luck," he said teasingly, bending his head to kiss the belly he'd been rubbing before straightening and kissing you again, a little more insistently. Good luck, and to make sure that his girls felt loved. To make sure that if something happened, maybe somehow, his Jillybean would know he loved her.
"Jason stop being cute and come on," Dick drawled, pulling on his gloves.
"Aww let him keep going," Steph teased.
"It's cute," Cass added, grinning when Jason's cheeks turned red, and then turned a darker red when you giggled.
Still, before he stood up, he had to touch you one more time, brushing his fingers over the swell of your belly again.
"Be careful?" you murmur.
"Careful as I can," he promised.
"We'll get him home in one piece," Dick said.
"Mostly anyway," Cass snorted.
"Nah, we gotta get him home in one piece. He can't get out of watching Bruce try to be a grandparent," Steph pouted.
"I shudder to think," Alfred said, putting a mug of tea down for you.
if it’s not a lot to ask, could we maybe get jason with an s/o that is starting school soon and it’s been making them so anxious they’ve been getting sick? i’m just going through it rn wnd could really use some jaybird comfort 💕💕
Jason paused outside the bathroom door and listened to you gag, wincing, "Babe?"
When the only response is more gagging and a retching noise that made his own stomach turn, he nudged the door open carefully, eyes widening slightly at the red spatter in the toilet bowl. "Jesus Christ," he breathed.
"I'm fine," you pant, wiping your mouth on the back of your hand and turning to rinse your mouth out.
"Y/N," he said watching you, worry clawing at him, "Maybe you should-"
"I'm fine," you repeat, splashing cold water on your face. "It's been happening for years-"
"YEARS?" he gasped, incredulous.
"It's just a tear someplace," you explain. "Stress and high blood pressure y'know?"
"And you didn't think to have someone look at you?"
"Why? Remember the time Mom spent the 4th of July in the ER bleeding from both ends because she was stressed about road construction?"
Jason nodded and chafed your arms in his hands bracingly, "Maybe it's time for a break-"
"I'm fine," you repeat, not sure if you're trying to convince him or yourself.
"Baby," he said softly. "You're yaking up blood and you look like death eating a cracker."
"I've got the internship and Bruce needs-"
"Pockets," he breathed, kissing your head, "You need to slow down."
"I can't," you murmur, leaning on the counter, head bowed, "If I stop-"
"If you stop you've done more than Bruce. And more than anyone ever expected. And when you start again you'll do even more. Baby, please? You need to see a doctor. You need-"
"I need to keep going," you say, a ring of finality in your voice. "I'm on the brink of something-"
"Yeah a medical emergency or a mental break down," Jason sighed. But he didn't press. All he could do was take a step back and watch you walk through the door to your office.
"Jason," you sigh, "Love of my life. Sweetheart. I love you. So much. But if you don't stop doom scrolling and come to bed-"
Jason looked up from his phone, frowning, "Y/N you're supposed to be asleep- you need-"
"Please?" you murmur, trying to keep the whine out of your voice. You'd been home with the baby all day. It was lonely. And right now all you wanted was at least a little time to be held before you got pulled out of bed to feed her again. And when you start tearing up, turning away to try and keep him from seeing it, starting down the hall- he pulls you closer gently, burying his face in your hair.
"I'm sorry," he rumbled. And he was. He hadn't meant to be gone so long. And when you start crying in earnest, it hurts. "Let's go lay down," he soothed, picking you up easily, kissing your head.
And as he lay next to you, rubbing your back as you cried yourself out against his chest, he couldn't help but be- afraid.
Afraid enough that he couldn't sleep. So when his daughter started to cry, he answered. "I've got it," he murmured, wiggling out from under you and padding over to scoop her up.
"Hey little miss," he rumbled, rocking her, "You hungry? Or just messy? Both." He nodded to himself and set about changing her diaper, keeping up a running commentary. "Dick keeps saying I'm gonna miss you being so tiny," he hummed. "That's probably true. I can still say 'fuck' without you understanding- I ain't gonna miss diapers though. Or having mama get up in a panic two minutes after she puts you down for bed."
When the baby fussed he smiled a little, "Let's get you fed, huh? Mama needs some sleep- I found her keys in the freezer earlier."
When he feels you hug him from behind, your cheek against his back, he, exhales slowly.
"I dunno what you're worried about," you murmur, hugging him tighter.
"I just wanna be good at this," he said softly.
"Jay," you laugh quietly, "You're fine. Everything is fine."
'Really?"
"Peak girl dad," you say, smiling. "The best dad- tshirt worthy even."
