This was such an amazing read for me! As a trans person in college, even though I applied for inclusive housing I was still scared. Thankfully my roommates or awesome. But this was such a relateable story from Charlie's pov. The way he feels the weight of the world and that he needs to be perfect. That he has to study every second and not take breaks, pull all-nighters. I get that so much.

Outside of relating to Charlie, I love all of the friends he makes. Blaze is by far my favourite. He's such a goofy kid, and his diction is next level, how can you not love him. Delilah, Charlie's bestfriend is also amazing, the fact that when you're first introduced to her she threatens violence in the event Charlie gets upset for some reason is AMAZING. she's hilarious. Also, I loved Xavier from the start, he's such a sweetheart. Oh, and Robby's affection for animals is so top tier!

I also absolutely love that even though this is a romance, it feels like the romance is a sub plot. It focuses more on Charlie trying to juggle everything and manage his stress. And I love that it portrays that romance isn't always the forefront, especially in school.

Throughout this I haven't mentioned Jasper. Jasper is definitely a character, he has so many flaws that make him more human. He's also described as dramatic, even enegmatic, but it's as Charlie said, it's because he cares. He reminds me of the song "Too Much" by girl in red, where she's begging her lover to not say she's "too much" and give up on their relationship. I think Jasper is constantly in a state of trying to be himself but is so scared of being too much, especially when he meets Charlie and is trying to befriend him.

Overall 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend, especially if you're looking for a cutesy, clean, LGBTQIA+ romance novel.
