What I watched this week:
The Hybrid (2/5): A group of mercenaries go to a former Soviet hellhole to recover some science. They find some - spoiler - human/alien hybrid. Don't worry I didn't spoil you because it was GD terrible. Antonia Thomas is in it so there's that.
Justice League: Doom (3/5): I forget how much I like superhero shows. This one was no Under the Red Hood, but it was still decent.
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2/5): There's another earth where the Justice League is an evil mob! Superman has a vague Italian accent. Evil Wonderwoman is pretty good though.
Jasper Redd: Jazz Talk (4/5): All good jokes.
Silver Linings Playbook (4/5): OK when this movie came out I thought it looked terrible and actively hated it. The trailers make it look like a joke. But it's actually really good? I was rooting for the characters. Bradley Cooper rocks it. The scene when JLaw was yelling @ DeNiro and drinking a beer is great. I would rewatch.
Yamada's First Time season 1 (2/5): Hot girl wants to sleep with 100 guys while she's in high school. For some reason, she has to start with a lame guy who's also a virgin. Men wrote this show.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (4/5): Food is hilarious.
The Orphanage (3/5): Fairly creepy. I would put it on par with The Conjuring. It's about a woman who buys the orphanage she grew up in, but a creepy masked ghost kidnaps her son. The mask is ultra creepy nightmare material.
Zodiac* (4/5): I probably watch this movie once a year and all this John Green is Zodiac talk got me in the mood. How is it that every single scene is so fucking creepy? Every single one is. Drew Carry's brother is the scariest man in the world. But maybe you can explain to me something I don't understand - the scene with Jake going to the movie dude's house and he's like "I drew those posters come to my basement." It's scary, but what's the point?
