The Price of Proper Persuasion-Chapter 3: If I hadn't been there you would be six feet under
He can feel something burning up in his chest as he says it, he wants to scream out, beg to go back to when the world was bright and their future was still unknown to them, to snatch the cigarette from his hand and stamp it out telling him not to put more toxicity in his soul when his family were doing that enough already.
His brain is a tangled mess, his hands craving violence against one of the house’s fake marble walls, his heart aching for peace and composure….. and yet he does nothing, standing there, simply watching Reginald smoke a cigarette as if he were some magnificent artwork in the Louvre only on display for one night only.

Best days are yet Unknown (Willex siren au) chapter 6-Saviour of Sinners
A Siren's purpose was to tempt humans away and kill them once they were in a false sense of security, but Alex never had the stomach for that, especially not when the human was as magnificent as this one, who looked as if he was frozen in time by pale lips and cascading hair that stuck to the skin as it was merely meant to be there.

Confessions of the dead chapter 2-In another Life
'So how did it go?' Rose asked taking a sip from her mug of steaming coffee, her hands held so carefully around it as she looked over at Bobby who seemed slightly more out of it than usual.
Jackson's coffee shop was their usual hang out spot, a place with staff so kind and coffee so warm that even a yeti would take a seat and talk for a while instead of terrorizing civilians in the cold. This was the first time they had actually been here during the day instead of 3 am because Bobby refused to sleep in the fear he would end up in another horrific nightmare.
'Bobby!' Rose kicked him lightly under the table,' Earth to Wilson!' 'huh?' Bobby responded, looking confused, the quiet ambience of the cafe coming to the forefront; chattering customers, the clinking of mugs against scratched wood and whooshing coffee machines filling his head harmonising with Rose's talking.
'Honey you really need to get your hearing checked' Rose sighed, concern in her eyes as she looked over at her best friend, who seemed more lost than he had done before leaving their apartment that morning.
Bobby wasn't used to others helping him, nor was he used to being told what to do,' Rose, honestly I'm fine,im just.......' he thought for a moment, how best to put the fact your therapist worked with ghosts without sounding mad? 'how did you find out about Doctor Adams' was what he settled on, sighing as Rose scanned his expression for any give away signs of him lying before sitting back in her seat looking satisfied, allowing Bobby a sigh of relief.
'one of the artists at the studio mentioned her, something about helping them feel closer to their grandma I think? something along those lines' 'well, that definitely fits the bill' he mutters sipping his mocha,' huh?' Rose looked up from her drink,' did you say something?'
'oh no just saying that she's really good' Bobby smiled hoping to throw her off the scent and avoid more careful interrogation.
Rose cared about her friends a lot, that wasn't a problem, but sometimes she could be a little overprotective and Bobby didn't want to constantly be a burden-it was why he agreed to therapy in the first place.
Rose smiled placing her cup down, her shoulders relaxing,' that's excellent news, Bobby!'
'i guess so' he shrugs, smiling back, the weight on his chest easing slightly, glad to see Rose wasn't stressing over him for once. Not that the joy lasted on his part, especially when a stranger joined them at the table for coffee.
'I know I should have mentioned it but Willie was in the area and I thought he could join us for a coffee before he goes off to a job!' Rose beamed, looking over at the skater boy who Bobby had encountered a few days ago. 'we've met actually' Bobby smiled panic settling in his brain. 'i don't think we have' Willie smiled sitting back in the spare wooden chair,' maybe it was in another life'
There was a lot of explaining in order.
