Sunset Memories Oneshots-Number 47: tell me when you hear my heart stop
TW for discussions of disassociation
Some days he’d scream and cry and beg that some higher power would take him instead of them, or at least he did in the beginning, before the bloody visions and sirens took over his already unpeaceful sleep. Now he just sits and watches the window as days pass by and memories numb any piece of life left in him.
It wasn’t like he had anyone to care for anymore, his family didn’t care, they were too busy with his brother, his charming, goal-scoring brother at some stupid month-long tour to even blink an eye at their eldest’s despair and complete shutdown. Bobby’s dreams had been too whimsical for their liking anyway, what help could they offer him outside of a stern ‘i told you so’.
If he was to engage with the outside world then he would have been no different than he was now; greasy-haired, in the same clothes from 3 days ago, wishing the ground would swallow him up, there was no use for him in this world without his 3 best friends. If he chose to go back into the world he would have to accept that they were gone, he wasn’t ready for that, most likely he never would be.
His friends weren’t dead when he stayed in his room, they would be running into his room arguing about a bassline or laughing about how luke got scared by a spider any moment now.

Believe me you’re all i need (aka boggie pining for 1,600 words)
Reggie never thought of himself as handsome, that was Bobby's thing, with sharp conversational skills and flawless style to match, a stark contrast to his frequently confused and slightly overenthusiastic nature with a side of now isn't the right time to use comedy to cope.
To Robert Wilson though, Reggie Peters was a masterpiece.
Ok keeping the boggie brainrot train rolling on down the hill:
Boggie and ~crimson~

okay this was so fun to write! i hope you absolutely love it!
Reggie and the red suit
Reggie had been in the dressing room for ages, Luke, Alex and Bobby may as well be waiting for a hurricane in spring when it came to Reggie being ready for a gig in time.
'Bobby, why don't you check on him?' Luke glanced up from his pint of ice with a side of cola, nudging a drumming Alex who sat there zoned out on one of the customers on another table.
'he's probably fine Luke,im sure he'll be down soon' he reassured, mostly too nervous to go up in case he found himself falling in love for the 5th time that day with his best friend.
He had been crushing on Reggie since they started high school; the geeky kid with the star wars lunch box and the coordination of a baby giraffe at the best of times. Bobby was in awe of pretty much everything Reggie did, a smile would send him stumbling over his words without a moments notice.
'Bobby if you don't I will and I don't really plan on missing our biggest set of the year to deal with golden boy' Luke kicked him under the table,' fine! fine! I'll go!' Bobby put his hands up in defence, shaking his head in response, before standing up from the table and heading up the stairs behind the bar which lead up to their dressing room.
'Hey Reg are you-' he pushes the door open, beginning to speak suddenly losing his train of thought when he saw Reggie turn around to face him, wearing a crimson suit embroidered with little black butterflies around the bottom of the jacket, his dark hair framing his face in the dim-lit dressing room.
'Woah' Bobby audibly mutters, his mouth dry, his heart playing a mid-song rapid drum solo, he was sure his knees were stable before.
'something wrong Bobster?' he spoke concern in his eyes as he looks over at his best friend who currently looked like he had seen God himself appear before him.
'huh? oh OH yeah I'm fine? at least I think I am just you know fine old, good old Bobby Wilson' he stumbles out, his cheeks growing redder by the second not sure where to look other than directly at Reggie, the cause of his now flustered state.
Reggie walked over a smirk on lips, a chuckle ringing out once he's stood in front of him. 'guessing you like the suit then?'
'i urm it's really nice' Bobby stuttered out as he looked up at Reggie, quickly regretting his decision when he saw joy glowing in his eyes, and the way his lips curved so perfectly into his classic cheeky smirk, Bobby was falling hard for Reggie at that moment, cursing his expression for giving it away so willingly.
Reggie lifted his head with his finger, his expression a soft smile as he looked in Bobby's eyes, 'I'm glad you do, I was worried it was too much you know'
'Reggie' he says taking a breath to help compose himself,' it's perfect, really really perfect' he smiled reaching up a hand and placing it on his chest,silk-like material under his fingertips.
Reggie chuckled again,' and I thought I was the one in love'
Time seemed to stop, Bobby could feel himself taking Reggie's hands in his as if it was natural muscle memory. The phrase setting in both panic and relief into his brain about the feelings being very mutual.
'so did I until right now' he blushed, the two of them now inches away from each other.
'We should probably get downstairs before Luke starts complaining' Reggie smiled leaning in and kissing him on the cheek.
'Luke can take his complaints and shove them where the sun don't shine' Bobby muttered pulling Reggie in by his shirt collar and kissing him passionately.
Reggie peters- 1 win and a kiss
Bobby Wilson-0 and a potential boyfriend.
(feel free to leave an ask in my ask box if you loved this oneshot!)
‘Don’t don’t leave me,’ Bobby chokes out, his hand outstretched to them. ’Don’t leave me here, like this, I-I NEED YOU!’
It’s a few moments too late though. By the time he looks up, the trio are gone leaving empty space and a cold atmosphere in the room. Now it’s just Bobby and the darkness.
You say the whole world's ending, honey - it already did.you say the whole world’s is ending-honey it alright did’
im really feeling it today, which kind of explains the origins of this but bear with me and grab some tissues because this one is gonna be rough.
Bobby takes care of the boys a lot when they stay with him and dont get it wrong,he loves them more than anything in the world, but one day everything just gets too much and he sort of snaps at the boys without meaning to and that's possibly where luke starts to help out a little seeing how broken Bobby is taking on many of the stresses of his friends.like Bobby just shouts and it freaks them all out a bit.
Bobby has spent so long looking after everyone around him he's forgotten that he has to care for himself too, and maybe thats why as well that Luke is so angry with Bobby stealing the songs, because it was the thing they shared together that was ever truly theirs, but part of him deep down is like 'he finally learnt how to take care of himself'
@queenmolina helped well round this and it made it ache even more than before
what if Bobby wasn’t just forced to take the songs by the label but it was also out of desperation,he was so desperate for Carrie to not have to go through the same chaos he witnessed his friends went through,he would do anything to make sure that Carrie is well looked after and stuff, It’s always been in his nature to care for others before himself, this means he has strained relationships with people, like Carrie’s mother who sees it as selfish that he focuses more on Carrie than he does his wife/girlfriend and maybe she leaves and stuff.
Bobby cared for others but never fully learnt how to care for himself.
