Tutinstine slightly more accurate AU
First of all it's important to note that while our boy Ramesses XII Tutankensetamun is based on king Tut, they are NOT the same Pharaoh! They didn't not even rule during the same dynasty. Our boy is from the 20th, IRL Tut is from the 18th.
So while I will take some inspiration from him, remember they are not related.
differences from cannon: Cleo is a necromancer, also a college student with an internship at the museum. She didn't know she had this power and because she inherited it from her dad.
Tut is 19. He has a scar from them removing his organs, and a scar by his eye from them using too much resin during rushed mummification. His bandages were also used causing him to get tangled when he woke up. Like the real king tut he was missing his heart. In our boys case this meant that he is unable to properly communicate with the gods, it also makes his memories corrupted since he never made it to the afterlife.
Because of the corrupt memories, it took a while for Cleo and tut to realize that he was not a pharaoh. The real Pharoah was unpopular and it was expected that his mummification and burial would be sabotaged so a doubleganger was used. One who had been brainwashed in preparation and was murdered the day the real ruler died. The people who stole his heart didn't know they had doomed an innocent boy who Cleo has now given a second chance.
