Gil and Jay would be a quick fling, but nothing serious. They’re friendly to each other and would have fun together - whether it’s fucking or exploring Auradon - but they’re not a long-term couple. Once they’ve explored enough and start wanting to focus on their futures - Jay as a professional tourney player and I imagine Gil would be a great like kindergarten teacher or a preschool teacher with little kids - they wouldn’t like date or get married or anything.

I think it’s controversial that I ship them as friendly fuck buddies who genuinely like, but not love, each other. People seem to be very pro-Gay or very anti-Gay and I think they’d be a nice casual thing for a few years.

I have this scene stuck in my head where Ben and Gil are speaking in French to each other and it cuts to Carlos and Jay staring at them with the most enticed faces, and Carlos leans over to Jay and asks "do you have any idea what theyre saying?" And Jay responds with "No, but are you as turned on as I am right now?"

I cant decide how Carlos reacts to that, because the answer is yes, but he does not like that fact.
