Ranking Ships Of My Favourite Characters
JAZZ
1- Jazz/Prowl
The transformers ship. My #1 despite them barely interacting at all besides G1 and Animated (it’s the thought that counts tho, right?). Opposites attract and all that, like magnets. I’ve seen a few different tropes with these two (criminal!jazz/enforcer!prowl and singer!jazz/bodyguard!prowl to name two) and ugh I love all of them. They just work together, y’know?
2- Jazz/Soundwave
Again, little-to-no interactions yet I love them. Enemies to lovers? Lovers to enemies? Yes. I feel like they’d be cute together, what with the whole cassettes. Also if they were in a relationship pre-war, that basically splits apart a whole family and makes it all the more angsty.
3- Jazz/Optimus (bonus with Jazz/Orion)
One of the people Jazz trusts the most? Height difference? Yes please. Also bonus points if they were together pre-Optimus (bonus-bonus points if it’s tfone). TFOne is just angst material for these two, whether that be unrequited love (with dpax) or established/pre-relationship and Jazz having to watch/think Orion is dead twice over.
4- Jazz/Blaster
Two music-loving bffs (again- little interactions!) together. One’s a boombox (I think?) and the other is a music lover. Idk much about Blaster I will admit, but I’ve heard some very appealing opinions. I feel like they’d bond over their love for music, and if they met before the war they might’ve been a sort of music act together, which is cute. Also, again, like with JazzWave, theres cassettes involved (only this time less angst) so it’ll be a happy family.
5- Jazz/Mirage
I can get behind this - they’re both spies, Autobots, and slightly mysterious (depending on the continuity ig). Also the thought hasn’t come to me until now but rotb!Mirage would match his energy, no? I also like this because I imagine Jazz wasn’t on the rich side during the war (idk if that’s canon or not) and Mirage was a noble/high caste, so these two wouldn’t have worked pre-war, which makes any relationship they’d pursue all the more sweet (and scandalous).
HM:
Jazz/Gunmax - not including crossover ships in the rankings but I adore these two and I would put them under JazzProwl I’m not afraid to admit. There is too little content of these two (at least in the fanfic department) and it’s an issue/j.
Jazz/Barricade - like JazzProwl, but make it spicy ✨ (or make it angsty with barricade/decepticon!Prowl). Mostly Bayverse with these two, an enemies-to-lovers sort of deal. With the Decepticon!Prowl idea, that comes from multiple fanfics and headcanons where Prowl is brainwashed pre-movie (or pre-tlk from one post I saw) to become Barricade, so it’s angsty in the way that Prowl is basically evil/trying to kill Jazz and Jazz can’t kill him in return (because his mind/spark won’t let him).
