JCS x Hellfire
Like fire
Hellfire
This fire in my skin
This burning
Desire
Is turning me to sin
It's not my fault
If in God's plan
He made the devil so much
Stronger than a man

Judas (JCS2012) I haven’t been able to go back from 2012…….
Already made a post about Jcs 2000 Judas well I dont really have a favourite Jesus he’s just a hard one for me to like the portrayal but thinking about it now I do think the 2000 portrayal of Jesus is great. Mainly because of his interactions with Judas
A lot of the Jesus’ I see just sort of ignore Judas and look basically emotionless when he shouldn’t be. But this Jesus is so fucking tired of Judas’ shit. He sighs and rolls his eyes when Judas tells him to listen to him and Jesus is like “Father did you have to pick Judas if all people? He’s making it a thousand times more difficult for me.”
He just doesn’t have the time or energy to explain to Judas so he just sighs and walks away whenever Judas engages with him in Heaven on their Minds. And when Judas says “I’ve been your right hand man all along” Jesus smiles and touches his hand then pulls away sadly it’s so sweet.
I love when Judas starts in for the second time on Mary Jesus just looks done with him. I think he even puts his face in his hand. And then he snaps at Judas and you can see the exasperation. And the Last Supper scene is probably the most intense one I’ve ever seen. They’re mad as hell at each other because Jesus did have a temper but you also see his regret and love for Judas. When Judas collapses at his feet Jesus looks up like he can’t take this heart ache anymore.
Even when he’s not with Judas. You see his love for the others and Mary you see his joy. You also see his fear and despair. And I haven’t watched it in a while but in Simons song he looks like he genuinely scared he can’t control the crowd which is something Judas mentions later so I love that. In the live version John Legend is hopping along to the song and I’m like no man you’re not in control here Simon is literally talking about armed revolt you’re not ok with that.
Ok I talked myself into it Jcs 2000 Jesus is my favourite so far even though I don’t think his singing is the best but again I’m really picky where Jesus is concerned. None of them really sound like Jesus to me but the 2000 Jesus makes me feel his emotions. I’ve seen a lot of divine this has to happen Jesus but I love frustrated scared human Jesus. Because he is human and this portrayal seems very real.
