It's been a bit since 🦔anon's Jean!MC au had been brought up... how about i bring up and make it darker but also give Jean!MC's some slack?
Also Furina!MC is there cause I love her too, but we'll get to her in a moment!
The Darker aspect of my idea is that Jean!MC does try to take breaks, but those around her immediately get on her tired butt that she was slacking off, being lazy, that was not how the most honorable Knight and the acting grand master should act!
So what if you're a little very tired? Mondstadt and it's people needs YOU! Focus ans do your duty, Jean!MC!
You can imagine how this treatment affects Jean!MC, especially if friends, her sister even, are agreeing with the other, and saying she was being lazy.
None of them bother to pay any attention to her eyebags, only telling her to cover them up as they're ruining her image as acting Grandmaster, or that she's losing weight. All that matters is work, work, work, and work...
Now, here comes Furina!MC in this idea. She meets Jean!MC when the other woman visits Fontaine for talks about certain things involving trades or even Abyss Order sightings.
How do you think she wpuld react to Jean!MC walking into her office and looking like a literal walking corpse? What would she do?
Furina!MC would probably pause the meeting and ask if Jean!MC is alright... before the other woman rasps out a weak, "No-" and collapses to the floor.
The aftermath wasn't pretty. At all.
Furina!MC had to physically held back from going after the other Knights or spokespeople from Mondstadt when they demanded that Jean!MC be woken up as they NEEDED her.
"YOU'RE ALL GROWN ADULTS! MOST OF YOU ARE EVEN OLDER THAN SHE IS! YOU CAN DO THIS MEETING WITHOUT HER, YOU USELESS-"
Furina!MC may have traumatized the Mondstadtians, but did she care? No? They pissed her off with their foolishness! Ugh, they honestly expected a half dead woman to do the WHOLE meeting by herself when it's supposed to be a group effort!
Needless to say, Furina!MC cut the meeting and had the Mondstadt delegates sent away early... but Jean!MC wasn't among them, oh no, Furina!MC was no risking a still critical patient being sent off with people who didn't give a damn about her health!
Saying that, she should've known this choice would have consequences as not even a short time later, the Anemo Archon came in demanding that Jean!MC be return to Mondstadt.
Furina!MC looked him in the eye.
She said no.
And she slammed Jean!MC's medical papers onto his chest with a curt order of "Read. Then get our my office. Also, if Mademoiselle Jean!MC wishes to return to Mondstadt AFTER doctors deem her fit, then she can go, but for now? She. Stays."
