Una joven enamorada de la natación decide que para que la tomen realmente en serio dentro del deporte debe cruzar el Canal de la Mancha (o el English Channel para los británicos). No será nada fácil.

Este estreno directo en Disney Plus está muy bien actuado, con una Daisy Radley que al fin encuentra un papel en el que destacar, acompañada de varios actores y especialmente actrices en plena forma. Está muy bien filmada, con escenas icónicas y una producción muy muy elaborada, como en las escenas del mar, que son escalofriantes. Y sin embargo, Disney decidió no estrenarla en cines.

Muy recomendada.

Alright as a movie, but very likely heavily embellished - I sincerely doubt that anyone in late 1800s Germany would name their daughter "Perle", because that's the kind of name a certain genre of yuppie would give their kid now to show how Unique they are. I am also wondering if the guy Eccleston plays was actually quite that much of a bastard, seemed a bit excessive.

Walt Disney Studios is working on a follow-up film to 2019′s The Lion King. Barry Jenkins is set to direct. Jeff Nathanson is back and as written the initial draft of the script.
