Sims 2 chat, do we think Daniel Pleasant is adopted but was never told?

Because there is no way this Ginger with green eyes. I understand recessive gene

But like...

His parents are almost definitely suggested to be non-white, and it's not like there was a massive retcon between 1 and 2 with how Daniel looks. Jennifer could be their kid, I believe that.

I have seen so many people suggest that Jennifer is potentially adopted, but like the more I look at his parents and then Daniel the less he seems related

Headcanon: Jeff and Diane were strict parents who pressured both Daniel and Jennifer to into acting more "normal." They didn't approve of Jennifer's dream or Daniel's desire to live his life as a bachelor, pushing both of them into lives they didn't want.

Daniel's resentment and bitterness over the way his life turned out is the reason he turned out the way he did. Jennifer turned out much better thanks to John's support. She wants to be a better mother to Lucy, hence why she lets Lucy get away with a lot.

Lovely little house made by RachelPedd that you can find here on the gallery. I just edited one bedroom to make it nice for Angela and Lilith's sleepovers. The Pleasant elders should be happy in this neighbourhood, the view is gorgeous and the air is stimulating. I'm not sure what kind of hobbies they will have, maybe a book club for Diane (nanny) and some fishing with Brad Burb for Jeff (military) who earns a mustache because why not?

Tried to make the elder versions of the Newbies, Burbs, and Pleasants. I've always wondered what other people's personal canons were on them, since they've all passed away in TS2.

I've always imagined Bob and Betty went on to live in a retirement home after selling their house in SimLane, because Bob's health rather deteriorated and Betty was just stressed out. Her relationship with Brandi was always challenging because her own mother was tough on her, and she was concerned about Brandi marrying Skip as much as they liked him. Bob died first, and later on, Dustin was born around the same time as Betty's death of a stroke. Shame they never got to meet their grandkids.

For the Burbs, Brad always seemed older and he died after John and Jennifer got engaged. I'm happy to see that Tiffany lived to meet Lucy, as I imagine she'd be pretty old by then. I imagine her as a chainsmoking and sharp-tongued grandma. I like the Early Pleasantview canon of her, moving to the city again and all that.

Jeff and Diane Pleasant, too, apparently lived to see Angela and Lilith. But I imagine they'd be kind of distant to the grandkids. Jeff seemed to be tanner, so I guess they retired in a warmer climate. They died around the same time, but I dunno who'd go first--probably Jeff from his disappointment of not being able to go to Mars.
