"Oh, marvellous. You're going to kill me. What a finely tuned response to the situation."

Have you seen Drop the Dead Donkey (1990-1998)?
Yes
Partially
No, but I've heard of it
Never heard of it

Jeffrey Alan Rawle - b. 1951
Jeff Rawle is a perfect example of my maxim that every man looks more attractive in leather gloves.
A fine English actor, who I first got to appreciate when he played the hapless George Dent in Channel 4's "Drop the Dead Donkey" from 1990 to 1998. But he didn't get my loins twitching.
As good (and funny) an actor as he is, it was only his appearance in another Channel 4 series, "Hollyoaks", as killer Silas Blissett, that I took notice of him in a more explicit way.
Now, Hollyoaks is a ridiculous piece of rubbish, masquerading as drama, but Rawle's appearance in it for a few short periods of time made it worth watching.
That ordinary man look, the glasses, the hat but mainly the white beard and the gloved hands get my blood pumping. Just sayin'.

"It's, um, very good of you to help us, Mr..."
"I'm not helping, officially. And if anyone happens to ask whether I made any material difference to the welfare of this planet, you can tell them I came and went like a summer cloud."
