An extremely fun, queer youtuber made the latest entry in his usual "So this is basically" series, which is a series that normally makes fun, tongue-in-cheek jokes about a given series, except that this time it was very obvious he actually, sincerely thought the series in question was idiotic. What series? One piece. So now a bunch of people are calling him 'racist for hating asian media' (previous entries in the series that did anime and JRPGs were a lot lighter and more tongue-in-cheek) and calling him an 'unchecked egoist' and an 'art vandal' for...not liking a shonen. They're also making detailed 'um ackshully' videos correcting his mockeries of One Piece lore - when he made slight jabs at lore of a series that spans over 1000 episodes and counting and is riddled with retcons over that run. Like I'm sorry Funny Youtube Animations Man made fun of your stupid pirate show, and to be more clear: I'm sorry you've put upwards of hundreds of hours into your life into something that is almost certainly going to end with Luffy finding out that his Hat has been the One Piece and that the real treasure was the friends they made along the way.
I mean I'm gonna laugh my ass off but you deserve it for getting this invested in a shonen.
