propaganda: The movie she comes from is good and underrated, but a can’t help but feel a bit annoyed of the main character ("DJ" Walterson) and his friend (Chowder) straight-up simping over her throughout the movie. And her feelings towards both of them honestly kind of felt like they were forced or came out of nowhere in the movie. Like, I get it. They’re all young teenagers (DJ is 12 and Chowder is 13; Jenny is 13), and I know it’s possibly a trope that occurred at the time the movie was made, but I can’t help but be a bit irritated by it regardless. I like the idea of Jenny being “into” both of them because she likes the IDEA of being into and/or in love with them, and then she grows up later and finds out that she’s actually likes girls instead. Idk lol.
