“They must be. Though usually they’re awake by now-Oh! Did you feel that?”
“I felt it! Is that my new brother or sister, Mama?”
“That is indeed them, my dear! They can’t wait to meet you, it seems!”

This was another idea that has been on the backburner for a long time. I wanted to do a wholesome family moment with my OC, Niko, as a pup and spending time with his mother, Jenora; while she was pregnant with a yet-to-be-born Goth. And here, Niko is excited and happy to know his sibling will be arriving in a few months time, being the proud big brother that he is. And Jenora herself couldn’t be any happier, watching her son talk to the baby and telling them of all the future activities they’ll get up to after they’re born. <3
I was a little indecisive on what Jenora’s color scheme would be, whether I was going to give her similar colorings like Goth or Niko, but then I felt more compelled to give her a completely different color. I feel that Hatchet, Niko and Goth’s father, would be the one who has the familiar coloring that passes on to the boys. Heh, I’d imagine it’d be something Jenora would jokingly complain about, that having two sons that took their father’s good looks more then her own is totally unfair. But, really though, she doesn’t care of how her children look. She’s just a happy and proud mother to be having one older son, and another on the way to welcome into the royal family. Whether or not they look like her or their father, she simply can’t wait to hold the new pup in her arms.
That is…until the plague hit.
Those of you who follow my DeviantArt account may already know what becomes of Jenora, when she’s only one to two months away from the due date.
Anyway, with that bit of warmth and eventual angst aside, I hope you all like this as much as I do! Feel really proud if this piece too!
