Today I keep thinking about the job listing posted by Supergiant Games (creators of Bastion, Transister, Pyre) recruiting for game artists for character and environmental designs (exactly what i want to do with my life)............. and although it was fairly recent, within the past month, surely it’s been filled by now................................

two major things that held me back from applying when I saw it:

I don’t have enough of a game-related portfolio to show to them (I’m wishing so hard that I’d started on these games earlier 😔 even by only a couple years would have made a difference)

the job listing didn’t mention being able to work remotely and i can’t even imagine uprooting my entire life and relocating to CA

And I’m thinking about this today, because, in a comment thread on DeviantArt right now, I am just kind of casually conversing with JenZee* about hot anime guys......................

(*artist I have admired since seeing her awesome painterly-styled game environments on Gaia Online, before her Supergiant days)

anyway just imagine me right now, gazing forlornly out a window, lightly touching my fingertips against the glass and slowly trailing them down, quietly saying “We could have been such friends...” and that’s me today

Inktober day 3. I've been experimenting with different inks and ink washes each day. The sword did not come out translucent like I had hoped. Oh well. Good for practice. One of my favorite games!

holy shit that’s in 4 days but I just started my first actual Darkest Dungeon run and I’m doing a bajillion things at once and... well, hopefully this game isn’t too long

Hades , Wow, what a fun game . Amazing art by Jen Zee snappy arcady gameplay and a wonderful story . Definitely one of the all time greats .
