this cannot be an original thought but i have a theory that when warriors went to skyloft to fight volga people were confused and thought he was the first hero/warriors just WAS the first hero and he got tied into the lore by mistake because like who the fuck is that guy who showed up for like An Afternoon, beat a ton of guys up, and then magically disappeared

i know in my heart that Warriors is so good at doing that Rich People Laugh

like i hc “english” isnt his first language and that he came from a very small village that mostly spoke portuguese (brazilian Wars is very real to me) and when he moved to Castletown because he joined the army he had to very quickly improve his english and he just learned the ‘Castletown’ (british) accent with it so he fakes a british accent and sounds Just like the rich noblemen of the city, and i just KNOW he’s got the laugh down too. like he has his real laugh which is bright sounding and loud, his “i cant fully laugh at this right now” quiet laugh, and then the stupid rich people laugh for when some nobleman says something horrifically boring at a banquet but he cant look at them like he wants to stab them with a fork so he’s gotta laugh along and bang his head into a wall about it later

warriors with shit ass vision who’s walking around blind because he doesn’t have the time to get his eyes check and also hasn’t realized everyone else can see better than him so he’s convinced its normal that everything is blurry i love you <3

like hell yes king, continue to squint and everything or stare with big ol’ empty eyes because you cannot perceive the world around you

okay so i was talking with a friend and i just maybe had a big brain thought?

so warriors is really really fast in his game, and i think thats just him i think hes just fuckin fast and can do backflips and stuff and thats all him, but he has magic because he has that focus spirit and i think his ability to jump so high is probably in part because of magic and his ability to lift super heavy things and throw them could be due to that as well

now ive been thinkin for a long time about how to incorporate his magic/focus spirit into fics more and how he would fuel that in a fic setting and not a game mechanic setting and like. yknow how fairies like sweet things? ive been thinking like what if sugar is what fuels magic, not just fairies but anyone who has useable magic maybe has a little bit of a like for sweets because it helps them feel better after using magic because it restores it or whatever. and my War with how I write and characterize him has blood sugar issues, specifically his blood sugar can sometimes get really low (based off an issue i have) and i was just thinking maybe it dips because hes drawing on magic and not realizing he is. like his high jumps and sometimes unrealistic strength are him drawing on magic maybe he thinks he can just jump super high or throw shit super far because hes him and doesn’t realize theres slight magic in that and that contributes to his blood sugar dropping. with how i write him its certainly not the only reason his blood sugar gets low but it could certainly be a huge contributing factor

but yeah im thinking like. give him a sugary drink to down and he can summon the focus spirit

had a thought about Warriors dying in battle and Athena herself bringing his scarf back home to his mother because Warriors is her best friend and she can’t stand the idea of sending someone to his family to do it for her while she sits there in her castle so she goes herself to mourn with them

i have a hc that War wears his mother’s wedding ring around his neck because she gave it to him when he left for the army (his father had died a while ago and the ring has a minor enchantment on it so his mom gave it to him because she wanted to do anything she possibly could to protect him and that was the only thing she really had) and i think if he died Athena would also bring that back to her

maybe ill do something with this who knows

obsessed with the hc that sky IS bisexual, but thought he was gay for a good chunk of time because he’s attracted to exactly like two women, sun and then some incredibly random lady he saw somewhere one time in an art piece from a history gallery and he was like “god damn women are beautiful…. HOLY FUCK IM BI” but he didn’t realize he was attracted to Sun until he had that realization because he thought she was just a really good friend and for some reason didn’t question that he only got anxious around her (and various guys but he already knew he was gay it just for some reason took him a second to connect the dots that would then lead him to bisexuality and a goddess girlfriend)

the sexuality crisis for him was not realizing he liked boys, he was incredibly chill about that, it was realizing he DID also like girls

I’ve done sooo much yapping about Warriors today, here are some headcanon about some of the others!

- Twilight’s hair grows similarly to a wolf’s pelt in that his roots are just permanently very dark and his hair is incredibly thick (I also think his hair is definitely a red toned brown)

- Time is not at all a natural born leader or an intentional father figure. He’s just very kind and genuinely wants to help others, and everyone else has really bad Daddy Issues. He’s not being fatherly on purpose and has no idea they’re all interpreting it that way

- More on that: The others all see Time as this stoic, mysterious man, but the reality is Time has HORRIBLE control of his facial expressions and will sit down and think his silly little thoughts and the others will be like “WOAH- He must be THINKIN- Hylia, he’s so wise!!!” but Time’s thoughts are actually just “Did I clean my sword… Wild was hurt earlier I hope he’s feeling better… Is this how Warriors felt about me during the War…”

- Wild is very extroverted and a reasonably chatty guy. He knows like EVERYONE in his era and they all just adore him (except that flower lady by that shrine). He’s cautious around new people because of the yiga, but the town regulars are people he very much enjoys chatting with

- Part of the reason Legend is so grumpy is because he has chronic pain, he doesn’t mean to snap at people. The other part is that he struggles to control his tone. He’s never intentionally rude or cruel to people, he’s incredibly nice and sweet once he relaxes around people

- Warriors and Legend have gotten into a full on physical brawl at least twice over a bet and Time had to break them up

- Sky will wander off with Hyrule and Wild sometimes to find more wood to carve

- Wind is a SHOCKINGLY good artist, he likes drawing places he’s been and the people around him. The others are just impressed he can sit still long enough to finish a piece

- Four would regularly take walks by himself, but Twilight got anxious about him disappearing off alone so he’d join him, but as Wolfie, out of respect of the fact that Four didn’t want Hylian company

- Hyrule has healing magic but is/was NOT a medic, or trained to be one at all. He knew a few basic things from his quest, but the more complex things he learned from Warriors who was trained as a field medic

- Wild is very independent, and is very responsible when he wants to be. He just… rarely WANTS to be

i hc that Wolfie is a mexican gray wolf. they’re a bit smaller than other gray wolves (they’re roughly 80lbs and five and a half feet long), but Twi isn’t a super tall person so like. I also just think the colors in their fur are really pretty, even if canon Wolfie is solid gray, and I like that the darker markings around their eyes look like the ones Twi has in his Hylian form (which is something that’s seen in fur patterns on some other wolves too, like other gray wolves, but I like these because it stands out more to me against the brown bits of fur)

Also these guys being so little could be a reason why Wild trusted him: Wolfie wasn’t as big as the other wolves he’d seen and was more like the stable dogs (because he was not an actual animal he is a dude who’s just also a wolf, and therefore was much more chill)

i just think they’re cute, and latino twi is very real to me so yes to him being a wolf that’s native to mexico (and some southern parts of the US like new mexico and arizona)
