The Way Through Doors by Jesse Ball feels like what happens when you try to describe your dreams to someone.
It feels like the entire book is constantly in transition, which I suppose is really the way you move through doors, constantly transitioning from one place to another.
If you have any love for stories by Italo Calvino, I suggest picking up this book. It's got the same feeling of what a book would be like if it were actually a Möbius strip.
Also featuring a painting I like that reminds me of the book cover, Josef Albers' Homage to the Square: Shade Around Shade.

I was delirious with happiness. A very long time ago I read a quote that said, you can be rich by having a lot of money or by learning to need almost nothing. I am going the second route. One of the happiest moments in my life was in my hometown at a shitty little restaurant. My friend and I were maybe ten and we had a basket of fries in front of us. There were just so many fries. I was looking at them and thinking—this fry-eating thing is not going to end anytime soon.
