A bit ago, @erisenyo reblogged a post about OT3s where two are kissing against a wall but the wall is actually the third person and used these tags:

I saw the potential for Jet/Sokka/Zuko and this happened.

Color will come eventually, maybe.

Sokka is lifting the garage door with one hand as they walk out. Zuko is seated and leaning against the wall, eyes closed and faced more towards Jet than Sokka. Jet is closest to the viewer, standing and shown from the back, looking towards Sokka. Sokka wears a pink denim skort-overall outfit, a white necklace, and brown boots. Their hair is down and chin-length. They say, "You okay? My sister is an EMT--" Zuko, holding onto one arm with the other hand, and with a spiky pain indicator above his hand, responds, "Just need a moment to rest, thanks." He wears a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes. Jet has a wheat in his mouth and wears a green tee and blue jeans. He is blushing slightly and says, "Uh..." END ID

AU under the cut because this got very long. Keep an eye out for the process video which I'll post later because I got very tired of the uploading process :)

AU Where Jetko are vigilantes by night, local disaster gays by day. Where genderqueer Sokka is a vigilante by night, and a burgeoning business-owner by day, and also they tend to present masculinely as "Boomerang Boy" and femininely as "The Mechanic" i.e., just Sokka. The Blue Spirit and whatever the community calls Jet (he has a name for the group, the Freedom Fighters, but would go by Jet if it didn't make his boyfriend so nervous to reveal his secret identity) take Boomerang Boy under their wing. Meanwhile, Sokka is pretty sure Jet and Zuko need a friend (friends, once they introduce them to Katara, Aang, Suki and Toph) and also maybe the bit of first-aid experience they've picked up from vigilante-ing having Katara as a sister; how the hell do these guys keep getting so many cuts and bruises? And no, that's not hypocritical, Sokka has a reason.

Obviously this eventually becomes Jetkko (good ship name??). Also in this AU Zuko is trans and ace and Jet is demi-romantic.

Jet makes zero effort to hide his identity beyond the mask, but people are like "the loudmouth anarchist kid also being the local vigilante would be a little too on the nose" and besides, the vigilante definitely has a boyfriend (The Blue Spirit) and Jet definitely has a boyfriend (Zuko) and there's no way the half-blind kid who trips over air is expert swordsman Blue Spirit.

Sokka made their own costume. It's very tech-y and also fashionable. They also made the pink denim skorteralls; they are good at sewing and for some reason shops don't sell what they want to wear.

"The Mechanic" is a local queer-friendly makerspace that Sokka runs, aimed at getting kids familiar with all sorts of tools from hand-drills to waterjets to welding. It's well-decorated, every decoration being someone's machining mistake, because Sokka celebrates learning in all its forms.
