JETTE TES EXCUSES DANS LA POUBELLE ET SOIS VÉGANE
remember when I was asking about the time frame ikevam takes place in? yeah, that was because I was working on this. A drawing of my ikevam MC in a dress I found - after hours of intense research kidding it was one of the first I saw and I fell in love - on the wikipedia article about 19th century fashion.
luckily, with this dress being from the late 1880s it still kinda fits the time frame. (nevermind the fact, that it’s American and not French, but oh well) Also I’m a sucker for strips, so I was sold on it anyway.
Jette (my oc) doesn’t really look like herself in this one. I will admit to having way too much fun with the dress to focus on her face. she looks well nicer and approachable than she actually is... but oh well, I guess I’m allowed an ooc drawing- as a treat.
Winter Wonderland
Last week it snowed in Belgium and the landscape was transformed in a Winter Wonderland. On Wednesday the sky was blue and I longed to be outside so I quit work early and took the most beautiful walk.
Let me say, we should do this more often. Leave the office and the pile of work and go outside. Fresh air and a relaxing walk can do wonderful things to your spirit. Especially in winter, when darkness, cold and a lack of energy seem to rule daily life.
Also, I finally got to explore some green areas in Brussels that I hadn’t visited before: the swamp of Ganshoren - Jette, Laarbeekbos, Poelbos and Koning Boudewijnpark. Furthermore, they’re all connected to each other, so a long, extended walk is possible.
These areas are full of surprises! I encountered cute city gardens, a petanque club, a petting zoo, cool playgrounds for children and a grand chalet where you can refuel on food and drinks. I can’t wait to go back in Spring, Summer and Autumn!
