Rewatching Move To Heaven again and let me tell you... the fact that that particular scene on the bus in episode 8 where Geu-ru finally told the real story about why his dad, Jeong-woo, couldn't go to take Sang-gu away with him because the department store collapsed on him in 1995, and Sang-gu's reflection on the glass mirror as he turned away from Geu-ru to stare outside the bus, for a couple of seconds, still gave me chills because I could've sworn it's Jeong-woo's face there instead of Sang-gu's......................... yeah

I don't really have many airing dramas so time for a binge.

Binge of choice? 2021's kdrama Undercover, which I keep meaning to get to.

An entry in the small but favorite of Mousie subgenre "happy couple but one of them turns out not what they seem, will love prevail," Undercover follows a happily married 40-something year old couple with two kids - she's a human rights lawyer and a rising political star, he's an ordinary enough doting husband and dad, and supporter of his driven wife.

ONLY.

When they met decades ago, as student activists and fell in love, it was all a set up. He was an anticommunist agent sent to infiltrate student groups and carry out various shady missions - meeting her and getting her to trust him was part of his work. Only he's fallen for her for real, the mission is seemingly long over and all he wants is for this peaceful life to continue. Hahaha not so fast, it's a drama, the past is about to come back and crash around his and the family's ears.

I can't wait!!! Happy ending btw.

Nam Tae Pyeong and Byeon Mi Rae are so cute.

He brightens up on her mere presence. She lets herself just exist when with him.

They're so made for each other.

Chance encounter and frequent meet ups and slow realisation that you're falling for the other. They tell each other their deepest tales and it's so natural for them.

Oh cuties absolutely. They're so straightforward with each other too. She gives the signal and he goes for it straight up.

And also the divorced parents are slowly getting there too. They're adorable too.

Whatever this drama is trying with the arson plot idc but these two couples I adore. So that's all that matters for me.

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR: 60 DAYS

GENRES: Drama, Political Procedural

SUMMARY: A temporary acting President has to deal with keeping a country afloat amid a crisis, internal espionage, and new suits.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Dust particles, botched press conferences, testy teens, VIPs, bombings, assassinations, military intrigue, national abandonment, hacking, camping, and eyeglasses.

HOT TAKE: I have not yet seen the American version of this show, but damn, this was a democratic rollercoaster of an experience. Everyone is out to win something whether it's an improved South Korea, dirty revenge, or just maintaining some semblance of governmental sanity.

This show has a real 'let's use the same 3 hallway sets over and over again' problem, but the familiar environments just made me care that much more about the acting masterclasses happening between their walls.
