“Here, I saved some for you. Try it?”
NON-ROMANTIC FLUFF STARTERS!
“What is it?” he asked before looking up from his phone to inspect whatever it was Jiho was trying to feed him. His eyes lit up almost instantly as he saw the slice of cake she was holding out to him. “I can’t believe you know my every single weakness and use them against me like this, what kinda evil?” He wasn’t about to reject her offer, though. After taking a bite of the food she’d offered him, he grinned and gave her a thumbs up. “It’s really good, did you make it yourself?”

The tang of iron seeped into his taste buds, another lonely and glistening trail of red detailing his cheekbone. A soft grunt passed through his chapped and bruised lips, slender fingers working their way against the oozing slit. His senses were slowly immobilizing, pupils dilating and constricting with each heavy step against the steel stairway. With every single breath he took his ribcage punctured the protective skin, leaving its own train of crimson against his grimy button up. His free hand reached out to grip a random banister, inaudible mewls filling the air of the isolated staircase.
He couldn’t remember the last time his senses left him like this, paralyzed and unaware. The evening before him was a complete blur, the only recollection that had some type of coherency was his marked fist landing against the mouth of some scumbag who tried to threaten him in his own villa. A messy battle, one of which no one was willing to break up. Joohyuk remembered his father’s face when he saw the abrupt change in aura, his brows tinging with pride. It was like he wanted his son to finally accept the fact that this was what he was born to do. This was his calling. But he couldn’t fucking stand it. Nor did he accept it whatsoever.
Joohyuk didn’t know how he ended up against his girlfriend’s doorframe, his hands struggling to tap in the passcode. It was self defense. And like that, the blurry vision was back, and with each blink he could see fragments of the mess he made an hour prior. I did nothing wrong. He shook off the horror playing in his mind, dragging himself inside towards Jiho’s bedroom. Joohyuk’s voice shook as he called out for her, legs inevitably giving up on him leading to a ‘thud’ to sound from the corridor.
His limp body laid flat against the wood paneling, some wounds exposed and open yet again. Then it hit him. How his hands wrapped around the man’s throat, clenching the plump skin until his veins were black and blue and ready to burst. Fingers meeting a steak knife, grazing the tan skin of his opponent, blade slicing against the crook agonizingly slow, so he could feel every crevice puncture through his discolored skin. Even if he tried, he couldn’t stop thinking about the lifeless body, surrounded by a stream of scarlet, and how he caused it. Not his father, not his allies. Joohyuk.
“I didn’t do anything wrong, I didn’t... It was... a mistake... I didn’t...”

It’s comforting and Hyungwon attempts to respond, yet only a slew of thank yous and I hope so manages to escape him. He eventually stops sifting through the pilling of his sweater, sitting up to face Jiho. “You’re endearingly positive. It’s a good mindset to have.” He hates to have had exposed himself, especially when it concerned his personal worries (that he believes he should be able to resolve on his own). It’s difficult sometimes, so he’s thankful for occasional words of encouragement such as this.

It doesn’t surprise him that he would find the said girl wandering on her own, bundled up in layers of clothing with half of her face dipped under the mask. He had received a text from Jiho, she needed him and it was more than likely he ended up showing up at their usual spot near the Han River. He even bought some stuff from the convenience store; two cans of coke, a gum and three triangular kimbaps, knowing she’d probably feeling hungry. They did this a couple of times and by far, he’d stuck with a damp shirt by the end of the night. Despite he had been summoned by the league to finish another task, he stood right behind her, waiting and watching until she turn around and spot him. Being with her somehow ease him, making him feel more human than just a cold-blooded killing machine. So he let out a small puff of breath, one hand in his pocket, gazing at her from behind.
“I just heard something… Something bad…”
ATTN: @jihios, FROM: HERE, STATUS: ACCEPTING.
The term ‘something bad’ used made her slow down the chopsticks that had been headed straight towards already parted lips. Truth be told, at this time and age now, she doubted anything bad could catch her off-guard. She’d seen too much of the world, know too much to be taken off-guard by bad news-- and even if so, how disastrous could it be? “Something bad?” She repeated, resuming her lunch once more. She’d been starving, having not eaten anything since last night-- solely because she overslept and had to leave her place in a hurry in order to make it in time for a graded performance in school. Her time management was completely off lately and it would do her good to correct that. Some day, perhaps. “What-- did somebody kill someone?” Her response had been a joke, and god did she hope the female did not respond with a ‘how did you know?’ or ‘what should we do?’ because really, she was good at many things-- but dealing with murder was not one of them. “What is it?”

Ice skating was supposed to be fun, he thought. So when he found himself on the cold, frozen flooring with (what he assumed to be) a possible sprain on the ankle, he can't stop himself from shooting the younger a look that was somewhat close to a scolding one. “I told you doing that wasn’t a good idea.”
