"No! Sirius I swear I'm going to kill you." She banged on the door as she listened to his retreating footsteps and giggles. Lily groaned as she took in her surroundings. She had been ungraciously shoved in a broom closet with an equally disheveled, but still unfairly hot, James Potter.
"Evans," he bowed his head playfully, ''Fancy seeing you here.''
"I swear Potter, if you had something to with this-"
"Relax, I'm as surprised as you are, Sirius told me we were egging Filch." Lily rolled her eyes at this and with a sigh she accepted her fate. She was going to be locked in a broom closet, with the boy she'd been pining after for months, for the foreseeable future. She huffed and sat down next to him, knees touching for lack of room.
"Well since we're stuck in here, do you want to play a game?''
"Sure Potter, what would you suggest?" she said in exasperation.
"Why not? We need some way to kill time." It was hard enough stopping herself from touching him, and now she has to worry about saying something stupid.
"Okay then, what's you're favorite color?"
"Green. If you could be a super hero what power would you chose?"
"A superhero. Like Captian America? The Hulk?" He shook his head in confusion, his glasses falling down his nose. "It's a muggle thing." She said as she fixed his glasses. Their eyes locked and they started to lean closer until she coughed and hurriedly folded her hands in her lap.
"Lily," she looked up when he used her first name,"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong? If I did I'm sorry, God Lily, I swore I wouldn't miss it up this time and-"
"James, slow down. What are you talking about?"
"It's just- well I've practically been in love with you since first year and I was so awful and we were finally starting to be friends again. I really just don't want to mess that up. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
"James, it's fine," she paused,"so you still like me?"
"Are you kidding? I pretty much just follow you around like a puppy! How could you ever think I wasn't absolutely in love with you?"
"So I didn't miss my chance? All this time I've been telling myself you didn't fancy me anymore but-"
James interupted her with a kiss. It was light, barely even a brush of their lips but it was enough to send shivers through her whole body. She grabbed his shirt and this time, the kiss definitely was not light. When they finally pulled away, after what could have been seconds, hours, or days, they are both beaming.
"Are you still mad at Sirius?"
"Oh, I'm still going to kill him. But forgiveness might be on the table."
