A Stormy Day || Jimogen

Jake smiled over at Imogen as the two of them got ready to head out for the afternoon. It was a pretty big day, and there were going to be a lot of changes by the time they returned to their apartment after it was done. Immy had been wanting a kitten for a while, and after baby-sitting Enjy a few times Jake had started getting the kitten-bug too. Enough that he had developed a half-serious plan to kidnap the little guy and flee with Immy to Barcelona. Now, after months of discussing and getting ready, they were off to pick out a kitten all their own. 

Jake finished buttoning up his plaid flannel shirt and walked over to Imogen. He stepped behind her, leaning over to wrap his arms around her waist and rest his chin on the top of her head while she used their mirror to finish getting ready. He smiled at their reflections, "You ready to go find our Stormy?" Jake asked her. He loved the name Imogen had chosen for the kitten; she'd had the name picked out long before they'd even made the final decision to adopt. It showed how enthusiastic she was about raising a kitten and that enthusiasm was one of the many reasons Jake loved her. 

He placed a kiss to Imogen's temple before he finally pulled away. "The carrier we got is in the closet, right? I'll go grab it and meet you at the door?" Jake suggested.
