Hey, uh, I'm sorry if this sounds weird? But I'm aromantic and with the whole Valentine's mood coming up, I feel like I'm just gonna be left behind in all the insistence that love is what makes people human, that it's the most important thing and all that. But I get attached to people familially really easily, so maybe something like that with the Jims (or... really anyone else? I don't mind, I like everyone really)? Sorry if it sounds weird, and thanks for even listening! Love your work! :)

Nah it’s not weird at all! I understand how everyone’s different when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Love isn’t 100% about romance despite what ppl make it out to be. It can just be love for your friends, pets, and/or family!

That being said, though, hope this little ficlet with the Jims and their silly shenanigans will lift your spirits ^w^

There were rare times when the Jim brothers would get into little quarrels with one another.

And one of those times was today, on St. Valentine’s Day.

Both of their eyes have been on a certain someone who has considered them close friends, almost like family. But when the twins found out that they were in love with you….that’s when the rivalry began.

Throughout the building of Ego Inc., in your room, the conference room, and the breakroom, you’d find small gifts and little love notes that were obviously from the Jims.

Their way of writing told you who was the Field Reporter Jim and who was Cameraman Jim. For giggles you just loved calling them “Jim One” and “Jim Two”.

But…the truth was you were never really one for romantic relationships, particularly because you were aromantic. You weren’t sure if explaining that to them would confuse them or break their hearts….or perhaps both.

Regardless, you still found their silly shenanigans amusing, and so you continued to play along until they both confronted you.………

The abrupt, high-pitched ringing startled you out of your musings as you looked to see Dark appear in your room. And in his hands were the shirt collars of two certain twins who had a few scratches and bruises on their arms, and looked like they wanted to kill each other even with the demon separating them.

“Oh my God..” You muttered, eyes wide in horror. “What happened to-?”

“They were…fighting about you,” Dark growled lowly, dropping the brothers to the floor. “And during their little…scuffle they broke the coffee pot in the breakroom. Now Google has to order a new one. Since you are apparently at the root of their rivalry I expect that you deal with them accordingly.”

You nodded in understanding. “Of course. Thank you, Dark.”

With a nod the demon teleported out of the room. The moment he did, the Jim brothers glared daggers at each other.

“Ahem.”

Tensing up, they looked back at you simultaneously, blushes covering both of their faces. With a sigh you sat back down on your bed, patting the spots beside you. “C’mon.”

They hesitated for a moment, but eventually they picked themselves off the floor and walked over to you, fixing their shirts. Then they sat down on either side of you, looking guilty.

“I know you guys left me all those Valentine’s Day gifts, and that’s very sweet of you. But…there’s..something I need to tell you before you decide to confess anything to me.” You bit your lower lip, before your eyes flickered from one brother to the other.

“Y-You can tell us, Ji–I mean, [y/n],” Jim One reassured, placing a hand on your knee. Jim Two nodded and patted your shoulder in encouragement.

You took a deep breath and finally said, “I’m aromantic.”

The two exchanged confused glances, their smiles faltering. “What’s… aromantic?” Jim One mumbled.

“It’s a person who experiences little or no romantic attraction to others,” you explained. “In other words I’m not..really looking to date anyone.” Then you paused to see how they would react.

They looked at each other once more, thinking over the words you said. When they realized that all of their efforts were a waste because you didn’t love either of them back, their eyes began to water up.

“But.”

Gazing at you once more, they were surprised when you wrapped both arms around their shoulders, bringing them close. “I…I still love you guys as family. Nothing will ever change that. And I appreciate all these gifts and sweet messages you left me.” A smile appeared on your face. “So thank you for making this Valentine’s Day less shitty for me.”

The brothers both smiled back at you and embraced you tightly, relieved yet a little embarrassed and regretful that they’ve been at each other’s throats all day long.

Later on you took them to Dr. Iplier’s clinic to get their minor injuries checked out, and afterwards you spent the rest of the day with them eating chocolates and bugging the other egos.

Least to say it was the perfect day for you.

JEREMY FISCHBACH nicknames: Jim, Serious!Jim… and nothing else because he’s “serious”. - He looks dumb but try to hurt his brother and he will punch you in the gut. - Adventurer. - Skilful cook. - Flannels of all kinds, even with stupid decors. His favorite one is the pastel-blue one, which was gifted to him by Jim and Bim. - Sneaky boy. - Gryffindor stereotyped. - Him and Bim don’t get along very well, but they still love each other. - He knows all the WKM business, but he doesn’t think that much about it, because he prefers leaving that tragic story behind, in order to keep going with JimNews. - Warfstache is one of his role models. Jim admires him for his interviews, like he admires Bim’s work - even though he would never admit it - although he doesn’t approve how both of their programs end. - He particularly despises Ed Edgar because he never had the chance to get him during his not-so-legal affairs. - He has a weak for The King of The Squirrels and sometimes he gets him along with him for his runner “abilities”. - Every time he watches a horror movie tries to act tough, but then he fails, clings on Jimmy - they scared too - and screams “IT’S DEMON JIM, DEMON!”

JAMES FISCHBACH nicknames: Jim, Soft!Jim, Jimmy e Softy. - Genderfluid. For the majority of time they use male pronouns on themselves, but sometimes they prefer female or neutral pronouns. - Finsexual. - When somebody purposely uses wrong pronouns for them, that person risks to get punched by Jim and Bim, even if Softy doesn’t cry. - They’re the JimNews Cameramen. They’re too shy to be recorded and they’re happy with. - they would follow their brother everywhere, even though they don’t particularly like the dangerous situations in which Jim always stumbles upon. - Their wardrobe is only made of pastel-colored clothes, especially sweaters. - Sometimes they’re clingy, bothersome even, but they’re also very sensible and when someone roughly abbandons them they easily cry. - And if you manage to make them cry, you will have to face their brother Jim. - If you are unlucky, even Bim. - They have an album in which they collect every original article on the WKM case, and they know what happened that night. They really pity Warfstache and Dark. - Even though Dark doesn’t seem to stand them, every time they see him they say hi with a smile, hoping they will make him smile too. - Your typical sweet Hufflepuff stereotype. - They put cream in the carbonara sauce every time they cook. Their brother keeps them away from the kitchen for this. - They and Oliver seem to get along. Very well. Too much for Blue Google’s taste. - Kinkyplier makes them outraged, but they’re his biggest client, when it comes to buy sex toys and clothes for crossdressing. - They have a little Royal-albine female Python, named CinnamonRoll, also named Rolly. - OTP: Dr. Iplierst and Darkstache. - They write fluff fanfiction.
