Ok. Let's talk about something very important. Jin's dancing.

No, before you get red, I'm in no way saying he's bad. The opposite actually. Just read till the end and you'll get my message.

So, I've been watching the dance practices a lot lately and crack and things you didn't notice and all that. Since I, of course, focused mostly on whoever was center and/or my bias, I've been focusing on someone different each time I watch it. And today, it's been Jin.

Now, as a recently inducted army, it's been made clear to me that when Jin came into this, he was not a dancer. And I can see that in these practices and the choreography.

Let's start with choreo. It's very clear that he's usually put in the back or on the very ends until his center moments and I don't like that. BTS changes the lineup of who is where for every formation, even if it's the same dance they did in an earlier portion. But Jin is always hidden or the furthest from the center (where most people will look). Even RM, who started in the same position as him, it's now getting more time out in front when he's not in center.

AND THEN, when he does have his center since, he is usually given the simplest moves ever, usually consisting of walking, pointing, blowing a kiss, etc. Simple things. Every. Single. Time. I could understand in the beginning, giving him something comfortable so his solo isn't cringey or super hard or anything, but now?? Airplane pt 2, he danced right beside Hobi no problem and you still can't give him a chance to shine and grow?? Haha ok 👌

Now I'm not saying he's the best dancer, not saying he's about to be inducted into dance line or anything like that. I'm just saying he's grown so much and could continue to grow if given the chance. Yes, there's still things you can tell he's working on or still not comfortable with. Yes, some of his movements aren't as fluid and look more technical. Personally, I think he's still uncomfortable doing some of the more complex moves and you can see he'll slightly adjust it so it may be less footwork than the others, but still looks the same. I think that's great that he can do that and still look completely in sync with everyone else.

Also, I may be wrong about this, but he seems to have long limbs and when dancing and trying to be in sync, even something as simple as the fist pump in Fire, you can be next to someone your same height and still have to consciously adjust yourself so that the fact your arm is longer doesn't seem out of place. And you can see these little adjustments all over the place. The kicks in Idol, first pump in Fire, lunges in Danger, etc etc.

Now I've only been an army about 2 weeks and my bias is Tae so I of course haven't seen every Jin dance moment, when practice, mv, or live. I may be missing big moments that could change this whole argument in either direction. But, from what I've seen, this is how I currently feel. I've seen a few comments with similar opinions but after paying special attention to him today, I had to get this off but chest, get outta this serious mood, and go back to crack and laughing and fangirling.

P.P.S. while we're discussing Jin oppression... what the actual fUCK was up with Not Today?!!? I was caught up in everything the first few views but why is he seen like once?!?? Maybe twice if you search for him?? Someone please explain this to me.
