LEARNING JINGLISH (Kobe, 1 Nov)
On our journey across Japan we have come across signs and names that we found hilarious and would like to share with you. For example we were driving along a beach, when we saw a hotel called “Peach mountain”. Either it was a typo or they like juggling with words indeed, but we strongly believe it is the first one.
Anyway, it is important to know that English is not their first language and neither it is ours, so it could very well be that we misunderstood something. However, in my eyes the result of Japanese interpretation of English (Jinglish) is fun.
1. Our favourite restaurant: “Rice people, nice people”. I think we all do agree..
2. Here I wondered about the reaction, if this elegant coffee shop ever decided to expand abroad to an English speaking country..
5. ALSOK is by the way one of the largest security firms in Japan and omnipresent on all islands
6. If you ever loose yourself, it’s time to visit the “Life coordinate shop”
10. This lorry is not only great, it is “Super Great”
I can't stop laughing because of Engrish and Jinglish
=))
forgive me
but...I...just....can't.....=))=))=))
