This week’s #westworld poem goes out to @jimmisimpson, who’s never given a bad performance. Dude’s a beast! • “WHAT IF? (REMEMBER)” What if Within the dream of life-everlasting Lies an answer To a question No one’s dreamed of asking? Or what if The question has already been asked But the answer burned fast, turned to ash, And severed every memory The asker had of the past? What if In that moment, someone found something true? And what if That someone was and IS you? What if you already live forever? What if you simply can’t remember? What if you knew that that was a fact? Would you change how you act? Would you change what you do, Or would you rather forget Every past loop? And repeat the same cycle: The maze and the door, Ignoring the crazy voice That says “We’ve been here before”? Would you fear the hereafter And thus pedal back? Never letting “Happily ever after” Have a chance? Because the truth is a mirror; If you can’t see your reflection, Then any way you look, It’s in the wrong direction.
