silver lining at least Covid somewhat normalized masking in public. All I really need now is for it to become socially acceptable to wear a full face decorative mask at all times regardless of situation. No One Should Get To See My Face. Also I should be able to swap out my face daily as desired. Goat face today demon the next black void this day doll face next. Tree face. Entrapta type welding mask. Please.
Unfortunately I need to work at a job and I fear the only places that would let me do that would be Art World jobs where you’re allowed to be a bit quirky with it. And those jobs are all hard as fuck to get :,)
i think every time a manager makes a stupid decision about something they clearly know nothing about which makes the lives of everyone around them harder their employees should get to kill them with bricks
School systems: It will be $100 dollars to join our system, $100 to take a test, $50 to apply for this license, $50 to apply for that one -- School systems: Wait how come no one wants to be a teacher?
Incorrect: "I hope this email finds you well."
Correct: "I understand this email will find you in the same pit of soulless corporate-work despair as I. And it only contains more of the same. Run. Save yourself."
My job just let me know the city is straight up eliminating my position and I won't have a job in 8 weeks bc of budget cuts.
I already have interviews lined up but I'm annoyed that I have to deal with this. I took a city job bc it was less hourly but supposed to be more stable than personal training.
Also insulting, they gave me a packet with open jobs with the city and neighboring cities but it is either highly skilled jobs (civil engineer) or complete entry level underpaid jobs (concessions cashier).
Unfortunately for them, my bestie is also quitting when I leave because he only worked there to hang out with me.
look, I understand doing your job that you applied for and nothing more; but if you're management or in a supervisory position, YOU SHOULD KNOW THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE ROLES BELOW YOU.
"oh I wasn't trained in that, so I don't know."
OK. I WILL TEACH YOU. I WILL SHOW YOU SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHY IT TAKES ME SO LONG TO DO MY JOB.
and this is where there's a reluctance to learn. Because if they have that skill in their arsenal, then they'll be called to help with that as well on top of all of their other duties. Which I get, I understand that.
However, if communication isn't happening between management, then it's fucking pointless!
I absolutely loathe that you can't understand something for someone else.
applied for a job today on a company website that first had me fill in everything by hand, then REQUIRED me to upload a resume to continue, THEN put me through some other pre-interview questions that included randomly asking me if I would relocate to a place I think might be in India.
I don't know, but it's done, and the job does sound interesting. First order of business if I get hired is to tell them to fix their fucking form.
