Hi everyone! It's been amazing to see the rise in jocassie content recently, and so I thought that a whole day to give us the chance to celebrate them was in order 💜 I've also recently hit a follower milestone so I thought what better time to spread the sapphicnatural love than now?

i didn’t really use any of the prompts, but this is how i think they meet! it’s in that time period in s2 where jo wasn’t at the roadhouse. the poem’s pretty simple, but i wanted to play around with the rhyming scheme a bit, so i concentrated on that more
a hunter and a reporter walk out of a bar (together)
for jocassie day! jo is an established researcher for cases and cassie is obviously a dedicated journalist, so i love the idea of them writing together and maybe even starting a hunter newsletter together <3
for jocassie day!! i took pages focused on the failing romantic relationships of cassie and jo with dean, and i love the idea of this sapphic love story rising off the page from the ashes of god-enforced straight relationships. it also can be read with cassie's bit first and then jo's, but i found it hard to show the double paragraphs in the transcripts.
there's a lot to be said about jo and cassie allowing each other to truly be themselves and feel free and finding absolute peace with one another however. it is so important to me that these girls are unbelievably messy at least for a little while.
cassie has a history of dumping people when she thinks they're about to dump her. jo can be closed off and isn't always great at communicating her feelings but is also terrified of abandonment after both her dad and rick left her suddenly. it's therefore easy to imagine that cassie sees jo being cold and thinks she's going to dump her, so dumps her first. jo is the kind of person to be all or nothing and never leave once she's set on something, so alongside the abandonment issues that have now risen to the surface she's set on staying while cassie walks away.
we also see that both jo and cassie have very quick tempers - neither of them back down from a fight, cassie especially in a romantic context and also jo with her mother. so although they can be a very powerful couple together, when they turn against each other is can get explosive and hurtful quickly (the angry sex afterwards is great but not sustainable). they're both so stubborn that them coming around to one another's viewpoint takes a while too
cassie is also very attached to her job, as is jo, and their jobs are very different. cassie can't just up and move every time jo needs to leave to hunt, so jo feels tied down and cassie feels both guilty for making jo stay so long in one place and also constantly worried for jo's safely when she's away travelling.
what i'm saying is!!! these girls are wonderful for each other but also there is so much friction between them and we deserve to see that as well. when the sparks start flying how long does it take them to catch, how long does it take for the relationship to burn, and how long does it take for them to build it bigger and stronger again
