1500-1599 Recap Part 64:

Elizabeth learned she was pregnant again before Samuel and Sybil became toddlers. 

Then Ambrose’s eldest died. Yes he is in Strangerville for some reason. He left the household to travel and ended up there. He also got three women pregnant before he died though one miscarried so he did father three children but it didn’t make sense for the rest of the family to know that when two of the women weren’t even showing when Thomas died and the one that was was literally in a different town. I did note his children in the family tree. His son died in the Plague event of the 1590s. 

Helen became a child and Florence became a toddler. 

Then Elizabeth had her son Bartholomew.

1500-1599 Recap Part 59:

Rebecca gave birth to her youngest children, Helen and Fulke. 

Blanche and Sebastian Voss married, Alice (Beth’s daughter) and Pedro Dalton married, Elizabeth and John met each other for the first time. 

Janet became a teenager  followed by Rebecca’s twins becoming toddlers. Unfortunately both Avis and Fulke died since they failed their child and toddler rolls. 

Then Adrian’s oldest daughters got married Elizabeth and John married and Margaret married her first husband William.

Year 1583 Part 2:

TW/CW: Death, Infant Death

Shortly after Bartholomew turned six, Cecily went into labor. After hours of effort she delivered her daughter Barbara who was her pride and joy. 

Rumors spread that the Laurent family had been blessed with a son as well. 

In Glimmerbrook, William and Patricia had a second daughter they named Janet. 

Unfortunately the good news of the year did not last when a few short months later, Barbara passed away in her sleep. To make things worse, news soon spread throughout Tartosa of Elizabeth’s death igniting a fury in her son at how unfair it was for him to lose his mother so young. 

Soon Piers turned six at the very end of the year thankfully oblivious to the sorrow faced by the other branch of the family.

Year 1582 Part 1:

Elizabeth hadn’t been able to join in very many festivities since she was having trouble moving around due to her pregnancy. Though luckily the beginning of they year brought with it labor and a new daughter named Susanna. 

In Henford, Rebecca’s daughter, Eden, turned thirteen and grew into looking quite a bit like her mother. 

Margaret breathed a sigh of relief that her twins had celebrated their sixth birthday. As she looked at how different her children looked, she could only wonder what John may have looked like if he had lived or what Samara would have if she survived her infancy.

Year 1578 Part 5:

Ruth and Julian had left Tartosa a few months into the year after Julian had come home with news that she had found her a match as well as John. The agreement had already been drawn up and the two would be legally wed once the new couples were actually in the vicinity of each other. 

Ruth’s husband, Drew, was an older man who had been married and widowed already and while the marriage had resulted in a child, he had no sons and was in search of a wife that would give him one after his mistresses had daughters as well. The longer she was around Drew the more she realized that the man was deeply mentally unstable and she worried for her own fate if she bore a daughter with the way he spoke. Luckily though while he seemed insane and potentially violent, he said that he had no use for a wife so young and so he decided that until she was properly old enough she would simply care for his legitimate daughter. Then Julian left her in the care of her new family less than a week after their arrival. Ruth could tell she had been left there to die with the unstable man since the Laurent family would rather not let the shame of vampire blood be associated with them than have her potentially have a child  and let it be known that the vampire gene simply skipped her generation. She was determined to keep out of the way until her brother was old enough to do something about it. 

John’s spouse was from Windenburg and Julian made sure to choose a girl from a noble background but with questionable heritage like John so potential vampirism could be blamed on the girl’s unknown father. 

The family was disappointed that they couldn’t do anything about the situation Larissa’s grandchildren had found themselves in. Mostly because Julian never revealed where Ruth was sent and John II was actually fine with his personal situation though he worried for his sister and wished that she could write him at least. 

Bartholomew celebrated his first birthday within the haze of concern while Thomasin and Parnell stargazed at night wondering if it was for the best that Ruth was out of the Laurent household or worse off. Both decided that they were lucky to not be in either situation though Parnell knew it was better to have a husband around for the social security at least. Thomasin wondered if she really had to marry just for stability since Elizabeth and Wilmot were very happy with their respective husbands. Parnell argued that stability was better when emotions could change though Thomasin wanted love too. They both decided that marriage was still a long ways off for the both of them though and to keep their ears open for news on Ruth.

Year 1577 Part 3:

John was in a bad mood on night and from the bathroom Elizabeth could hear an unnatural howling from bed. When she finally got the nerve to check her husband was gone but when he came sneaking back in when the sun rose she was shocked to see a beast in his clothes. Luckily at that point he had come to his senses and revealed that he had been hiding his form from her so that she wouldn’t get scared of him especially since he had no control over himself in his state. It was debatable whether it was for the best or not but Elizabeth had no qualms about her werewolf husband and though she wouldn’t say aloud considering his obvious concern about his condition, she might actually prefer him like that. When inquiring about his coloring he figured it had something to do with his alien heritage and he was more concerned about the whole beast thing. 

But now that John’s big secret was in the open to his wife, the two became closer than ever but Rachel still hated the idea of a new baby since she was the baby after all. Unfortunately for her, Bartholomew was born healthy and safely not long after. 

Adrian was happy to have another grandchild in his life but he was also glad to spend time with his unmarried children living at home.

Year 1576 Part 3:

TW/CW: Death, Death Mention

Gilbert and Seema’s twins celebrated their sixth birthday with Julian being a respectful child and Josian feeling out of place in the little farm house, she felt a pull to go elsewhere. 

Janet could tell that it wouldn’t be long until her grandfather Thomas passed and was determined to make him happy until his last days despite feeling the urge to leave the small town when she was of age. As morbid as it sounded, she figured it would just be best to wait it out. 

News travelled quickly among the family when Ambrose’s wife, Ann, passed away suddenly with no warning. It was as if her heart just gave out from what Ambrose could tell. Then came news that Larissa’s daughter-in-law Evelyn had passed away from old age. A few short weeks after that news came word that Agnes had been widowed from her husband passing of natural causes though it was a shame considering how young he was. 

In Tartosa, Parnell bonded with Florence and having luxuries like hobbies and a full stomach she began to wonder if maybe a singular child would be so terrible. Though soon Wilmot and her children returned to her marital home when her husband returned from his travels for an undetermined amount of time.  

At the Ashtor home things were going well, Elizabeth was able to attend her friend William’s wedding and spend time with their sister, Cecily. Rachel was doted on by both her parents but when Elizabeth started getting sick she had a sense that something was going to change soon.

Year 1576 Part 2:

Things were hectic at the Carlisle home now that there were two young toddlers around. Thomasin stepped up to do what she could but things were destined to get out of hand when Wilmot went into labor and delivered a healthy little girl named Florence. 

The Ashtor home was less hectic as their little daughter soon had her first birthday. John was happy to see that their daughter didn’t inherit his skintone but could tell that his girl would be different from her mother and bound by the moon like himself.
