I have a lot of true stories on my shelves, but this is one I am truly fascinated by. I have followed news articles and documentaries about this story. I haven't fully completed this book, but wow John Glatt depicts this story so incredibly. If you haven't heard of the Clevland abductions and rescues look it up or watch the Netflix show.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars Short book, easy read. Most of it consists more of neighbors saying 'I can't believe it,' rather than talking about the actual crime. It also repeats major (and minor) points several times seemingly for no reason. My version was also missing the "8 pages of shocking photos". Not bad if you know nothing about what happened but if you are looking for something in-depth, continue looking. A disappointment on the whole. View all my reviews

Island time

I've got nothing to do tonight. I finished my book about Diane Downs. It's a true crime book. If ya'll are interrested in that kind of stuff, I highly suggest anything written by Ann Rule. She can really write a book. It's too bad that she passed many years ago now. I wonder what her books would be like today. She'd probably be freaked out by the new killers that we have now a days. Some sick people out there. Not like it's a new thing. We had Gary Ridgeway, Dhamer, Gacy, night stalker, son of Sam. Nothing is new here. I wonder what other books she has written. I know it's quite a lot. Which I like. I do have another book of hers about the Green River Killer. I can't wait to start that one. I took a little break from her books and started on a new book. My Sweet Angel by John Glatt. It's about Lacey Spears. If you haven't heard of her, look her up. Much like that Gypsy girl. Except she has a son and the son didn't kill her with some deranged boyfriend that she met on the internet lol Bad joke? Too Soon? Eh, to hell with ya then.

Today was alright, just a regular day at work. Nothing too big happened or anything small. Just the same old same old. The usual. I've been getting bored at work. I do the same thing every day. I don't usually mind, sometimes it's real "rinse wash repeat" I'm the lead in the fitting room. I worked hard to get that position. You are probably reading this like "she's proud of being lead fitting room" JAH bro. I am. I know it seems so weird, a retail worker that is proud of their job. I don't know why people scoff at me when they ask me what I do. I work in retail, what's wrong with that. So maybe I'm not a doctor, or a writer, or a movie star. BIG DEAL. I'm proud of myself and everything that I've done to get there this past year. Might have taken a pandemic to make me realize what I need to do exactly. I'm not happy about Covid, obviously. But I am thankful that I finally got my shit together cause I was scared shitless and decided to do something real with my life from now on. So thanks Covid? I don't know?

My laptop is acting funny. Just with charging and holding a charge. I mean I use this thing constantly. Especailly to play the sims. ALL THE TIME. It's my favorite game to play. The only game that encourages you to cheat. I read that somewhere. They make the cheat code for serious players so we can complete the game. I think that's pretty cool. Remember when you would play the sims and the only cheat code that we had was to press CTRL ALT C, and then we can enter the cheat "rosebud" and only get a measly 1000 dollars. Well now we have new ones, and kiddos if you are looking for a mega amount of money, do the same but use the code "motherlode" you'll get 50 grand. But everyone probably knows that. If you know any other cool ones, leave them here and let a brother know lol I could really use them. My favorite pack that I have is vampires. Occult is pretty cool, but I feel like you can do more in Vampires than you can in Occult. But hey, that's fine with me. I need to get other packs. I just really love this game. If you haven't noticed. I can literally play this game non stop. It's so bad that I have to set an alarm so I know when to stop playing. I can't just say "I'll play for a half hour" NAHH I can start playing at 7 at night, and then the next thing I know it's 4 AM lol I always say " I bet it's like 8:30" SURPRISE It's time to get up for work now anyways. haha
