I had a dream that John started sitting on the coffee table while Sherlock was on the couch and would hold his hand while he made deductions and Sherlock didn't really notice so it was kind of a game for John to see how many days in a row he could get away without Sherlock saying anything about it. But then one day, they had their chairs pulled close together, side by side, while looking at some evidence and Mary was sitting on the arm of John's chair and Sherlock reached over and took hold of John's hand. Mary got all sad when John didn't react so she pried their hands apart and just gave Sherlock the most pitiful look, it was so sad. It wasn't sad enough to stop John from his game however
