ok first of all knights! it was actually one of the first muse songs i ever heard. there was something about the horses and the spacey sounds in the beginning that made me keep listening to it and not skip it.
it builds up with this awesome Em | F#m | Gm | Am | Am | Bm riff with some scrambly things in the background. and then the trumpet and the tremolo picking starts. idk its a 2+ minutes intro and if a song has a 2+ minutes as an intro y’know that its going to be good
+ the lyric is actually pretty deep if u think about it, i see knights as this rebellion song and when matt sings how can we win when fools can be kings, you just kinda want to start an uprising (pun intended hurhuhurhruhrurh) and after that the quiet chorus (???) starts and it builds up to this awesome outro riff that u can’t resist banging your head along to

so it starts with this slow quiet intro (its goddamn sexy) and it builds up to the chorus where u just start to scream beST YOUVE GOT TO BE THE BEST, YOUVE GOT TO CHANGE THE WORLD AND USE THIS CHANGE TO BE HEARD YOOOOOOOURRRRR TIIIIIME IIIISSSS NOOOOOOOW!!!!!!
and then the piano part starts and its so sosososososososoerj feksutxdfjnwUL YOU JUST KINDA WANT TO CRY!!1!dc1y1! its so brilliantly written how it starts off kinda slow and quiet and it gets bigger and bigger and bOOOOM THE EPIC PIANO CHORDS STARTS can i add that the strings in the background are so beautifully put together and it fits so nicely with the song
