I just realized that digital weapons in 40k (the secret las-pistol, hand-flamer and such hidden in rings made by the Jokero, a semi-sapient species that looks like orangutans and have the word joke in their name) are a pun.
Digital weapons are worn on fingers. Fingers are digits.
