This is just my curiosity peaking, but exactly what kind of flower is Gossifleur and Eldegoss based off of?

The "Goss-" from Gossifleur and Eldegoss comes from Gossypium, the cotton plant genus. So I would assume the whole line is loosely based on some species of cotton flower - that was my inspiration with the "cotton boll" look I went for with the in-progress stage.

According to Bulbapedia, the line could also be based on the windflower, which is common in the British Isles and have fluffy, Icotton-like seeds.
