❝what actually is a .jmj error?❞
Me, a TMA fan: so like, theoretically speaking I know you can transplant the cornea of the eye right but like, could you do that with the whole eye? It doesn't have to work actually, just put it in without complications, without any infections or rot? Is it possible to do that?
My biology teacher: I don't know
Her: why
Her: why would you wanna know that
I think Jonah Magnus should take my cramps. no. fuck it, ALL cramps are his now.
i went a little rouge with the lighting but shhhh i was having fun
They make me sick..
thinking about how when jonah used his mind fuckery on martin and melanie, in both cases he said something along the lines of ‘it wasn’t your fault, just bad luck, but that doesnt make you feel better does it?”
it always stuck out to me that he said that both times since it was such a one off line that for some reason was repeated but it helps set up the overarching themes of choice and who is to blame. especially, since it’s jonah saying it, it actually shows his view on the matter. when he tells them it wasn’t their fault he’s showing how he believes that a person’s choices matter more if you know what the choices mean and set up. another nod to his role regarding the eye
something like helen as the distortion would likely say it was melanie’s fault for putting her father in that hospital (was it a hospital i cant remember) because it doesn’t care about knowledge, it can spin the truth however it likes. maybe it will just ignore the truth. it’s all the same to it
jonah of course values knowledge and probably would loathe the idea of making a choice without some form of understanding about its risks. he’s lived for too long with the eye’s help to entertain anything less
back to the theme of choice, the fact that it not being martin or melanie’s choice still doesn’t ease their minds because it still happened, it’s symbolic for most of the series main conflicts. melanie still will blame jon for not being there to warn her about taking the job and for being involved with the creation of the apocolypse because even if it wasn’t his fault it still happened and it still ruined her life. and martin will still blame himself for making the wrong choice back at the panopticon bc even if he didn’t know, he still did it (there may be a better example with martin blaming someone else for something they didn’t know but i can’t find it rn and this works fine, just don’t want yall to thibk i’m villianising melanie while removing fault from martin bc i’m not trying to do that)
but yeah i thoguht those lines were neat and wanted to do a little reading into them
PLEASE say this hasn’t been done before
