I own one of Faye Kellerman's early(ish) books in English, and it's got a stupid review thing on the cover that starts with "Wife of the more famous Jonathan" and my favorite part of the bachelor thesis prep is going through the indexes of academic/text books about crime novels and seeing usually like one, maybe two mentions of Jonathan Kellerman if any, while Faye usually has a few more (up to half of entire chapters!) or is even the only one of the two mentioned. Take that, you stupid reviewer.
#faye kellerman#jonathan kellerman#kaj rambles#also like. her *entire* 'peter decker & rina lazarus' series has been translated into german.#his 'alex delaware' novels haven't gotten translated for *years*. the last. half dozen or so? never been translated into german.#but well. one of the texts called his writing 'effective but hardly memorable' and i strongly agree#while her main cast being orthodox jewish adds something that lends itself well to analysis or at least a mention re: diversity#i really need to read her entire series start to finish eventually never got around to that#bc i do love them! they're fun! peter and rina are delightful!#however i unfortunately imprinted on milo like an orphaned gay duckling when i was fifteen so now i'm writing a thesis on jonathan's series#to delete later
