A/N: Happy Jongin Day 😍 What's y'all's favorite song off of The War? Send us an ask and let's talk about it! 😍 -T✨ - I took a deep breath. I extended my hand, and, for the first time, laced my fingers through my date's. Each step up the sidewalk to her front porch was agonizing. It meant that I was each step closer to leaving her for the evening. "Jongin." My name escaping her lips was a song. It was a fantastic and magical sound. Euphoria filled my heart and I couldn't hold back my smile from spreading across my entire face. It was slightly terrifying, and exhilarating, how amazing she made me feel after one date. She thanked me for tonight. I told her it had been my pleasure. It was cliché conversation, but it was also true. She stood on her front porch once we arrived there, and started to fiddle with her keys. She was not turning to open her door, however. I received this as a really great sign. I stepped closer to her. My breathing hitched in my throat for a moment. One hand landed on her waist, and the other caressed her cheek. There was zero recoil as a reaction from her, which swelled my confidence. She tilted her head up slightly, maintaining a deep eye contact with me. I smiled as I leaned forward. Our lips met, and fireworks burst inside of my heart. I had never had a kiss like this. It was gentle and simple, yet laced with passion. Her arms wrapped around my neck, pulling me closer to her. The kiss was over sooner than I would have liked it to have been. I kept my eyes closed momentarily as I drank in the moment fully. I heard her giggle, and opened my eyes to see her cheeks flush an adorable shade of pink. "I'll call you tomorrow, Jongin," she promised. I nodded and let her go inside. I think I floated back to my car instead of walking.
