In deepest sympathy

I don't know whether these news have reached everyone around the globe yet. I am not even sure whether everyone in Germany knows about this incident, but I want to raise awareness. Jonny K. died on Monday, October 15th 2012 at the age of 20. He was beat up by seven yet unknown people. The reason for this outrageous crime was a chair. Can you believe it? A chair being enough reason for seven people to beat up one single young man? Sunday evening Jonny went out to celebrate one of his friend's birthday. After a while another friend was really drunk, so he escorted him out to get some fresh air. Jonny told his staggering friend to sit in a chair, while he would call for a cab. All of sudden somebody pulled the chair away. Jonny asked what the matter was, why that person would pull the chair away. And then he was hit. And hit. And hit. Or should I rather say "kicked and kicked and kicked"? The perpetrators repeatedly kicked his head. The worst part is that there have been onlookers. People who have been standing outside of the neighboring club and have been smoking joyfully. On Monday Jonny finally died in the hospital. It was due to heavy injuries to his brain. This case is considered as murder. The police does not have any clues regarding the culprits yet. There is a 15000€ reward for clues regarding the perpetrators. I do not know Jonny nor his family. I do not know his friends nor this face of Berlin. It makes me sad, it makes me sick, it makes me wordless. Do you know someone around his age? A sibling? A friend? Can you imagine them dying? Wouldn't it be such a waste? There is always something good in a person, but I dare say that I cannot see any good in these seven creatures anymore. What they've done is disgusting and even if they regret it now, they should be heavily repenting somewhere. Somewhere as in "prison". Or the depths of cyber mobbing hell. Let us pray for Jonny and his family and friends tonight. May he rest in peace. Isn't it this what he deserves?
