Heading to JordanCon in 2 hours!! The convention discord has been the friendliest one I've ever encountered. Ready to revel in an entire weekend surrounded by Jordan & Sanderson fans.
I dreamed I was at Jordancon and I stumbled on a discussion around a table (square, basically a seminar table lmao) about Jordan influencees. I was lugging around an enormous- like 2 feet high one foot wide- illustrated book on the subject. At one point somebody made a joke/reference about Usenet WoT fandom that I got (I think it was referencing Piglet). Kinda sad I woke up.
I can’t actually go this year (massive work conflict) but someday! In the meantime, have fun if anyone who sees this is going. You have my permission to sing my WoT filk/parodies, message me if you want links.

Has JordanCon always been so white? I have never been before. Anyways here’s hoping that the TV show brings in new fans of color considering the diverse cast and crew in the adaptation.
Also, Brandon Sanderson is simply such a cool person - so accessible and fan friendly, answering questions, mingling with readers, writing like 10 books in 10 years, totally okay with fanfiction and content creators using his world and characters, giving readers updates on his writing etc. All round nice person. Showing up at the Con and answering questions was a nice gesture.
Gonna get absolutely destroyed at the Jordancon Wheel of Time trivia bee for fun (people have been reading this series for 20+ years I don't stand a CHANCE), might post any really good questions
