#smeartestawareness has been a huge topic in the last couple of months as the amount of women having the test dropped ridiculously in the last few years. Having abnormal result myself a few years back (which changed to normal thank God) and also finding out that one of my best friends just discovered she’s got cancer, it’s time to help other Campaigns to raise awareness how important smear test is and it can save lives. As every women, I know how embarrassing and daunting it can be going to the GP for the test, so to encourage young ladies Adna Cristina Beauty is offering a free basic bikini wax who brings a confirmed GP smear test appointment. I like to say thanks to Lycon Wax for their support with this amazing initiative. Also on top of that Adna Cristina Beauty will donate £1 from every sale of bikini, Brazilian and Hollywood waxing in May & June to Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. Let’s start sharing this post ladies!! A good friend of mine @nicolamarie_mua has started a petition to lower the age for mandatory smear tests in young women from 25 to 18. #CervicalCancerScreening when performed younger can highlight abnormalities much earlier on which could help aid early discovery. Cervical cancer prevention week is 22nd to 28th of January. A smear test takes only a few minutes, the impact of cervical cancer lasts a lifetime! Uptake of the English cervical screening programme is at it's lowest level for 20 years! With more than 1.2million women aged 25 to 64 failing to turn up in 2016/17. Cervical cancer affects 3200 women a year in Britain and kills roughly 900. Pois o câncer de colo de útero é o terceiro tudo mais frequente na população feminina e a quarta causa de morte por câncer no Brasil. A ONG Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust criou a campanha #SmearForSmear para acertar as mulheres sobre a importância de fazer o #papanicolau regularmente para prevenir esse tipo de câncer.
